Food was fair. Service fair.
Food was great. Was a little disappointed that we had an early dinner reservation one of the first patrons, and they sat us to where I was facing the kitchen.
Our severs were great, food was on point, and great menu options.
They limited their menu during these times, but still plenty to choose from. A pleasant surprise is they have made the sides bigger, now they really do serve three people! Prior that was the only negative aspect of Elway's, tiny sides at large prices.
Steaks were spectacular, service was perfect! Highly recommend Elway's in Vail!
The wedge salad is delicious.
The service was amazing
ECLXCELANT! Great service, Steaks and wine!
Our waitress was great! I do feel the food quality should have been better for the price.
My honey’s birthday and they did not fail. We made reservations at 6:00 pm and we’re seated promptly.
Our server, Timothy, was friendly, professional and prompt.
I ordered the Calamari appetizer to split and it was wonderful! My honey had the Bone in Ribeye cooked Pittsburgh style which is “Black and Blue”.
I had the Butternut Squash soup for a starter...amazing!!!
For my entree I had the 8 oz Filet medium rare and it too was cooked to perfection!
And as a surprise and a complementary dessert they brought out their famous chocolate cake with a candle. Very sweet.
Our experience with Elway’s was special and I heartily recommend the restaurant! Enjoy!!
It was our honeymoon! I made reservations online and when we arrived the front desk said they would give us a "good" table...then sat us at the entrance of the kitchen. No menus or other words spoken. Our waitress took her time coming to our table and acted annoyed that our table was sat. No explanation of the menu or even asked what drinks were wanted until her third visit to our table. I felt very uncomfortable and unwanted during our visit and I do not think I will visit again. Had we known how to order correctly (didn't know we had to order sides separately) it might have been a better visit. Truthfully it was the only negative visit we had on our entire trip.
Awesome Place , Valet Parking included ... Steak was perfect
Great service and steaks were best I have had in Vail.
The food was mediocre and the service was subpar. I would not chose to eat here again. The filet was way undercooked and their fix was to throw it back in the fire. Which burned the outside and still had the middle raw. They were not customer oriented and although they did ask about it when told that it was still no good they tried to argue about it. The staff was snobbish and for this being an Elway’s establishment it was by far the worst one I have been to.
Cocktails and food was fabulous!!!! Will defiantly go back !
Not a memorable experience. Food is basic and kinda boring - definitely not worth the price.
Food was good more consistent than other times I’ve been here. I was please.
Wow just wow. Our waiter was awesome! Super rib eye steak perfectly cooked. Whole night very special!
The food and service were excellent. A bit pricey but for a special occasion worth it.
Great food and atmosphere! It was an engagement dinner to remember forever.
Elways never disappoints. Whether you’re in Cherry Creek or Vail quality service and ambience is always exceptional.
Steak was bad, wine was bad, service was not good either. Very disappointed especially for the price tag. Waitress pretty much quit our table. We didn’t like the first pour taste and she said “well it’s uncorked!” Sent is the wrong dessert.
I had high hopes from Elway’s but they sure did disappoint. My Caesar salad was mostly black pepper which ruined one of my favorite steakhouse traditions. My medium rare steak had a char on it that made it tough, to the point where I gave up halfway through. I tend to give restaurants a break during this tough time but at this price point, some things can’t be overlooked. I would not be able to recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quality steak. At lease the server knew his wine and the service was acceptable.
Walked in and we were seated right away. We’ve been to the Cherry Creek flagship restaurant and Denver location many times - this was like the cheap sub-par version of that. Notified our waitress right when we sat down that I had a gluten/dairy allergy. She did not inform us that their kitchen could do no accommodations, or that basically everything had gluten in it.
This was not our experience at other locations. We had already ordered a $100 bottle of wine and cocktails when she brought out the appetizer we ordered, and informed me that I could not use any of the dipping sides (after the kitchen brought out double butters to help my “gluten” allergy). The artichokes were actually cooked pretty nicely, so they were good other than the lack of information. I asked if they had any other dipping options and was told no, and after I suggested several extremely easy obvious substitutions was given a small container of plain mayonnaise.
Moving onto the salad course - my husband got the wedge and loved it! I ordered the heirloom tomato salad with no cheese. It looked great when they brought it out - until the first bite. If the salad had been made with actual tomatoes it would have been amazing! But it wasn’t - it was made with frozen (seriously) rock hard tasteless garbage. My husband is a human garbage disposal and he wouldn’t even it.
Onto dinner - my husband loved his burger (yay!). I ordered the grilled 1/2 chicken. The chicken came out with.....butter sauce. Bummer. Our waitress asked if I wanted her to take it away (duh) and told me the chicken would be dry without it. Well, I obviously can’t eat butter, and that would have been a lovely fact to mention *before* I ordered it. It probably would have been pretty good with the sauce, but as it was, it tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lap for several hours.
Needless to say we were super disappointed with this location. $250 for a crappy dinner sucks, we will not be back.
We got champagne for our anniversary! Food was phenomenal.
This was the largest disappointment of our trip to vail besides the Lodge where we stayed. The waiter was very attentive, but not focused. He mixed up our sides, and wasn't seen for long periods of time. No bite check until after 5 min at which point I opted to eat my overcooked filet. The menu is not impressive and the food quality isn't either. In the restaurant were 5 light bulbs out and others had different wattage. The table cloths were crooked on various tables and the atmosphere was that of an upscale cafeteria. Very disappointing.
The steak was amazing! The service was wonderful. Everyone was so kind and attentive without interrupting our evening. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone
So accommodating with amazing staff. Food recommendations were fabulous.
We went to Elway's for our anniversary, and they were so nice to us!! Complimentary bubbly to start, and then a dessert on the house. Food was fantastic, and service was superb. Highly recommended!!
Forgot the recent reviews that are negative. We ate at Elway’s tonight and Cally took great care of us. The food and service was exceptional! Everything was perfect, would not change anything.
Superb wait staff and excellent entrees A+
we had a 730 pm reservation but when we got to the restaurant we had to wait for our table for about 20-25 mins
we had good service and good food but the wait was not acceptable - this is the first time this has happened to us but we understand the Covid19 issues with reduced capacity so we let it slide.
we will go back once again in hopes that it won't happen again
Elway's always has great food. They seem to have made the most of our strange Covid times. I asked for an inside table and they gave me a great one next to the window in the back room. I was surprised at the small selection of wine by the glass, but the two different ones we ordered were very good.
First trip to Elway's. I had the roasted corn and chicken chowder and it was exceptional. The soup had great flavor, creamy, and was loaded with chicken. For a main dish, I decided to try the burger. If not the best, it's one of the best burgers I've ever had. The burger had great flavor and was nice and juicy.
I will definitely be back.
Out of baked potatoes after we ordered
Out of rack of lamb after we ordered - substituted lamb lollipops - they came very charred
We got a great table on the patio and our food was amazing as usual. The service was exceptional, our waiter started our evening off by letting us know he was on our time and the three of us took note of that and thought it was a terrific thing for a waiter to not only say but to act out. The calamari with the deep fried blue cheese stuffed olives was fantastic. You can't go wrong choosing Elways! The cocktails were superb too!
Excelente el filete irreal
They do like their meat on the rare side and I get it. We still thoroughly enjoyed out meals and drinks. Service was fantastic and ambiance very accommodating.
Food was fantastic
