Our server Dennis was outstanding. He had an excellent knowledge of fine food and wine and was so pleasant throughout our evening.
Great food! The 8oz steak was amazing. The sides for the table were a good portion.
We weren’t impressed with this location given the past experiences we’ve had at elways in denver. The service left a lot to be desired which is a big contrast to the outstanding service we’ve had in Denver. A bit disappointing considering it’s a great steak house in one of the most beautiful mountain towns in CO.
Elways in Vail has clearly lost a step. Poor decision by hostess to split a large party between two tables with our table in between. Had to ask some rude foreigners to not talk across our table. Complete fail on what should have been a romantic dinner. Grown men in athletic shorts and women in t-shirts made it feel more like McDonald’s than a nice restaurant. Guess they just don’t care
The service was horrible. Ever been anywhere that bad.
Great birthday celebrations super service
Everything was excellent! Everyone enjoyed their dinners. We sat on the patio which was lovely. Highly recommend this restaurant. It is my husbands fav!
Great as always
Really great all the way. Food, device, cleanliness, all excellent.
Host was rude and pompous
We have eaten at Elway's many times and this was the first time we were disappointed. Service was a let down - for instance filling 4 of 5 our waters and never coming back to fill the 5th person's water. Absolutely do NOT recommend the grilled artichoke - terrible. The salmon and steak had a funny taste to it. Overall, it was just "off" from our normal trips to Elway's.
Elway's is always a great dining experience. The steaks melt in your mouth and the sides are generous! Definitely recommend.
Excelente la calidad de la comida. Todo delicioso
We had high hopes for Elway’s Vail. Our experience left a lot to be desired. First, they served us a basket of very obviously molded bread. They sent out a free appetizer for the inconvenience. I ordered a filet medium well and it was served rare. It took 20 minutes to get a new one, at which point my husband had finished all his food and has to sit waiting for me. The baked potato was very dry and hard, and not even warm enough to melt the cheese. For a $200 dinner we just expected so much better. Definitely not on par with the Denver Elway’s locations.
Bone-in Ribeye and wedge were great! I really liked the way the steak was cooked and seasoned. No problems.
Overall, heavily salted food in everything we ate. Not sure why they felt the need but it was. Also, despite the fact that there were not many people in the restaurant, they felt the need to rush us through all of our courses.
Perhaps Mr. Elway should check this out and help them get aligned with his other restaurants that don’t seem to have this issue?
Dinner after our wedding. Music was incredible! Not too loud but wonderful choice. Kept up with service with an outstanding attitude! Would definitely come back, again!
Excellent last night dinner in Vail. The restaurant manager was very accommodating to get us a seat on a patio after a short wait and the food was outstanding. We had the artichoke dip, a filet and rack of lamb. Each dish was cooked to perfection with excellent flavor. Beautiful setting on the patio.
Great as always
As Always, simply delicious!
Very kind staff and always amazing food! Patio is also amazing
We spent my husband’s birthday and anniversary together at Elway’s Vail. The staff was so incredibly gracious and celebrated us! We loved each and every person who helped to serve us. The food was also incredible! Thank you, Elway’s Vail, for making our evening so special! We are incredibly grateful 😊
This restaurant missed the mark
My Salmon was undercooked
And sent back
And the rest of the meal was over priced
Food came barely warm
The best part about this restaurant was the host
Who was friendly and charming. He was very nice
Great service....view from gazebo Very relaxing....food solid as always. Overall Elway’s remains the best steakhouse in Vail and one of my favorite venues overall.
Always great food and experience at Elway’s Vail!
Well received at host station; friendly, kind and accommodating of our casual attire after driving 10 hrs! Prime rib and filets some of the best we’ve ever had...seasoned and cooked to perfection! Waiter was excellent. Great bar menu with some out of the box cocktails. Value? Well, it is Vail and didnt expect differently; however, it was on the spendy side.
4th of July family dinner
This was one of the best meals I've ever had in my entire life. Each bite was incredible. Our server's were on top of everything. The restaurant was practicing social distancing perfectly. We were able to sit and enjoy our meal without any distractions. Elway's is by far one of the greatest restaurants in CO. We will definitely be back!
Thank you so much for such a nice review! We are so glad you enjoyed and hope to see you again soon.
Beautiful setting. Food was fine, but not a true steakhouse. More of a nice restaurant with steakhouse prices. I am sure pandemic has limited menu and caused lower quality. Burger was best thing we had.
Unfortunately we did not have the best experience this year. It was our anniversary and we let them know but the did not acknowledge it throughout the dinner. However, we saw others receive champagne and dessert for theirs. We have come here every year for our anniversary and this experience has made us look for another destination next year. Food was good, service ok at best
Great dinner! Very good service and overall experience! I had the Rack of Lamb...over the top awesome!!
Great food but none of their draft beer was working. A total oversight and miss before a big 4th of July weekend. Poor bar planning
Came here for an early dinner with our toddler and had a great experience. Tables were spaced well, staff was incredibly nice and helpful, and they have a goos happy hour menu.
Great Filet, brussel sprouts
Great restaurant and great service. Best steaks in town
Staff acted annoyed they were working. Poor attitudes. For the money a nice experience would have been a plus. The food was fine but not worth the prices.
Wonderful time! Our sever Dragon was fabulous and food was great.
First of all the place is hard to find. Should have a sign that says “this Way to Elways.” The steaks at our second visit we’re just ok - both had Portherhouse and they were completely different (bone on one was not a T). The service was very good though. Food was so so but not for $100 + per person and that’s without cocktails and desserts.
Dennis the sommelier was awesome!!
Excellent affordable wine selections
Food exceeded expectstions
