Elway's Cherry Creek
thru mid-August! Come and enjoy an Elway's tradition!
Rib eye in bone steak was fatty and tough to eat
Over all I will recommended it, just stay away from this steak. Thank you and hope to see elway steak house in the future.
The only downside seemed to be the glass that our Manhattan was served in...we would have preferred that it was in a lowball glass rather than a martini glass as it spilled the first sip or two.
We went to Elways in August to celebrate our 25th anniversary, and it was an absolutely luxurious experience. We had such a good time, we decided to take our two teenagers with us to treat them to incredibly fine dining (we also enjoy The Melting Pot at least twice a year with our boys).
Two of us ordered prime rib done medium. My son's was done nicely and was a quality piece of meat. Mine was closer to raw, was rubbery and cold in places, but 50% of what was on my plate was a huge chunk of inedible fat, more than it should have been for prime rib. Right after our first bite, our waiter Sean asked how everything was, and at that point, all seemed good. About 5 minutes later, all was not good and I was frustrated. With about half of the meat eaten (meaning there's still 3/4 of my prime rib still on my plate), I pushed it aside to be picked up, which it was after about 10 minutes. I decided it was going to be more trouble than it was worth at that point to ask for a new steak, and I didn't want to make things uncomfortable for my family or for Sean. Neither he nor anybody else asked us again about how things were, which was surprising.
Anyway, use my feedback as you wish. We will always have our fantastic experience from August, and our boys still enjoyed their fine dining experience, but I doubt we will be back given the disappointing piece of meat I was served. Live and learn, I always say.
Thanks for listening.
Great food, great service.
Elway’s is our anniversary tradition as well as other occasions during the year.
An amazing evening with our family. The steaks were perfect, and the Ding Dong rocks!
Great restaurant! The food and service were terrific. Can't wait to go back.
Everything was great! My only complaint is that even though the restaurant was not busy we were seated in a booth right behind a booth with really loud people. It made it very difficult for us to have good conversation. I don't understand why restaurants -especially nice ones like Elway's don't seat customers every other booth until the restaurant fills up. It would make it much nicer for your customers. Everything else was great!
always a pleasure to dine at this Elway's...great experience from the moment you walk in the door!
This restaurant was recommended by a friend while we were visiting Denver and it didn’t disappoint! The steaks were phenomenal, as was everything else we ordered. Steve, our waiter, was so warm and friendly and helped to make our evening memorable. Highly recommend.
We love going to Elway's for dinner. We go to Colorado every year in October and every time we go to Elway's for dinner. We love going there. The food is excellent and the service is awesome. Our waitress was soooo great. She had to come by a few times to fill my water glass, so eventually she left me the water jug. My husband and friend and I drank that as well. We did feel bad for her that she had to come by a few times. I can't help it, I drink a lot of water!! Also, the food is soooooo beyond good. I normally get the rib eye, but this time I got the prime rib. Super good. We left happy and stuffed. Oh one bad thing, we didn't get to meet John Elway!!! It's ok we will be there next year in the beginning of October. Maybe then!! Thank you sooooo much for a great dinner...Carrie
The service was outstanding and the steak was out of this world
We had been planning this dinner for some time. The end of an 'out of state' moving process and my 40 year retirement. We made the right choice. Service from valet, to front end staff to Paul our waiter was personable and excellent. The delicious chocolate cake with candle was a 'very nice' touch.
Meal and service is always great. From the Vaket to busters it’s always top notch!
Very Nice for Special Occasions!
Amazing food. The Chilean sea bass is the best, Its cooked to perfectly. Artichokes are amazing.
Great service, steaks and side dishes very good. Location was perfect
Birthday dinner was great- had a 12oz fillet cooked exaclty right. My wife had the 14oz prime rib (perfect as well) and brought the leftovers home- but someone got to them before I did.
Wonderful experience. Celebrated an anniversary and was treated so well....we love Elways!
As Excellent as ever.
No need to say more, Thanks!
Always fantastic! Good, service and wine were great!
The food was outstanding! The service was outstanding! Everything that I wanted in a 5 star restaurant.
The food was wonderful. The service from Dustin was AWESOME! Can't wait to go back.
Great service, great waitress, good perfect- love sitting in booths
We celebrated our first wedding anniversary tonight, and Elway’s was a wonderful place to do so! The food was incredible, cocktails were great, dessert was fantastic, and the service was incredible! Jason was our waiter and he took great care of us! We will definitely be back!
I know that I'm always going to have an amazing meal.
Birthday tradition at Elways
My wife and I celebrated our 11th anniversary. We have always enjoyed the food and service here. The prime rib is our favorite with the roasted broccoli.
This is our favorite place to go.
Elway's continues to serve perhaps the best steak in Denver. Always cooked to perfection, sides are plentiful and each delicious. The shoe string fries are fantastic, green beans cooked to perfection, the wine list offers a variety of great wines from reasonable to expensive.
Always special to dine at Elway's.
Our server was absolutely terrific. He made wonderful recommendations and displayed incredible passion in his role. This was the first time at Elway's for each of us, but we were made to feel like long-time, privileged patrons who get special attention. He should be considered a valued resource. Oh, and the food was outstanding - amazing sea bass, tuna, and beef.
Won’t be back. Too expensive-I don’t mind paying more for top notch, but this restaurant isn’t worth it!
What an incredible dining experience! The food was amazing and service was truly above-and-beyond.
Great food and overall a wonderful work dinner.
My one complaint is that our server was not overly helpful or energetic. Given the prices and the guaranteed tip I expected a lot more and have seen far better at other restaurants of this caliber.
We had a truly magical night celebrating our anniversary at Elway’s this past Sunday evening. As soon as we walked in the door we were congratulated and given an anniversary card. The food is amazing and the drinks are perfect. Our server was the best we’ve had there yet, everyone we’ve had there has been awesome though. Thank you all for making our special night perfect!
The service dining at Elways was slowest and worst we have ever received. We sat in the bar before the Broncos game for brunch and our initial waiter left and the bartender started serving us. The bartender forgot she had a table, we received our brunch 40 minutes after ordering it. The food was cold and you could tell it had been sitting for a long time. We had to get up and ask for the server/bartender to take our drink order and our food order. We also had to get up and ask for more water after many people walked by looking at our empty glasses and then get up to ask for the check. It took over an hour and a half for brunch for 3 people due to the slow service and made us late to the game. We may give Elways one more shot but it’s likely we’re on to find a new Sunday brunch spot.
Great time, beautiful food
First time trying out Elway's, the food was very delicious and the service was great. The waitress also recommended the best birthday dessert ever!
Special occasion, consistently excellent!
It's a good place to treat your self. They make you feel special.
Overall the Food was good - except the baked potato came out cold and would not melt the butter I put on it, and my sons steak was under cooked - ordered Med Well came our Med - sent back and came back Well done so that was disappointing. We Love Elways and always have a great meal so I hope they are not slipping - especially since Shanahan's has gotten so bad - they cannot for the life of them cook a steak to the right temperature - We finally stopped going there and there are not a lot of other great choices for premium steak houses. Brooks is also terrible so we hope we can count on Elways in the future.
Steaks are excellent but sides and salads less so. This was surprising, and it is a bit overpriced for what it is.
