    Ella's is a lovely restaurant with excellent food and fantastic service. The Salmon was the best salmon I have ever had. The side dishes were not as excellent. The carrots lacked flavor and the cashew butter was not a welcome addition. The creamed corn that came with the salmon was heavy and somehow not perfect. All in all an excellent restaurant.

    Great food, for the cost the service should be better. Would have liked more than one soup option. Overall a good experience. Not my first time here. From now on I will call ahead to inquire if the menu. I saw more items online I wanted to try that weren’t available. I’ll be back, in a few months probably 🙃

    Compared to previous experiences I found this visit disappointing. There was little variety in the selections on the menu... 4 of 7 or 8 entrees were beef. The rest being token salmon, chicken and vegetarian. The menu format has also changed necessitating ordering of sides. Finally we found both the quantity and quality of food underwhelming. The "whole" lobster was not whole but several pieces which filled half the shell while the shortrib was 50% fat and little actual meat. Ella will need to reenergize and step up their game to remain competitive in this foodie capital.

    $35 corkage fee and they don’t even pour any wine. That is not how corkage works. Forgets our appetizer? Forgets coffee? I’ve had more attentive service at Denny’s.

    The food was delicious, the Salmon and Prime Rib were very well prepared and delicious. The Stonefruit Salads were excellently prepared and had perfect flavor. Our server Chuck was very polite, attentive, and courteous, and we had a fantastic time. We will definitely be returning.

    I went here to celebrate my birthday at the waitress and the waitress was not very attentive. She was not very excited about my bday. She did not make me feel special. I was bummed

    Went for my wife’s birthday dinner. The bone marrow disappointed, as it had a sweet jam on top. I had the Steak Oscar and my wife had the special Lobster Caviar appetizer dish for her main course. Both dishes were beautiful in presentation, and tasted great, but were served Luke warm or tepid; quite disappointing. I should have sent both back to the kitchen for more fire, so the temperature would have been corrected. Service was excellent otherwise. Dessert was very good. Valet parking $10, I guess inflation, but it would be nice if it were complimentary or $5. After spending close to $400, I left feeling underwhelmed. The food and value at their sister restaurant Obo was better, cheaper, and hotter. My last visit at Ella’s was at Christmas time, in a private room, almost two years ago, and it dazzled across the board, but not this time.

    Wow! It serves up until 9:45, so we were able to sneak in on a Saturday night for a late dinner. A pricey place, but we got out for 200 bucks with an 80 dollar bottle of wine, because we wanted to taste as many things as possible, and ordered all apps and sides. OMG, those lobster "corn dogs!" The oysters were immaculately fresh. The nectarine salad, sublime. The creamed corn, insane. As it was a birthday, they gifted us with a scoop of the best strawberry ice cream I have ever tasted. Our server was gracious, fun, and professional, perfectly timing the courses. Yeah, the food is rich, but for a blowout, you wont' do better!

    One of our favorites in the Sacramento area. Unbeatable food, service and atmosphere. Lobster was a highlight on the current menu, and it did not disappoint. Excellent wine recommendations from our server. Everything was top notch, as usual.

    Service was superb, lobster and scallops were very tender and fresh. Lobster ravioli wrap was very hard to chew that was disappointing. Ceiling was very high and deco was elegant. It was a nice experience.

    Decided to celebrate a birthday given relative ease of securing reservation. Parking was easy in garage across the street although valet was available. Received warm greeting and seated efficiently. Waitstaff never introduced himself but he was helpful and friendly enough. Menu had some unique items which we tried including geoduck and marrow. Also tried the cured ahi tuna at waitstaff suggestion and was not disappointed but not overwhelmed which was the overall impression of our dining experience. Food was very pricey thus reflected in our appraisal of value. Overall, service was satisfactory and food average but overpriced. Had to give it a try hoping to have similar experience as at Kitchen before they received their Michelin star seeing how they are both in Selland family. Not likely to return as will give other similar restaurants a try.

    Very nice dinner. It was a birthday and I stated so when I made the reservation, but it wasn’t acknowledged when we we there. It was my wife’s 50th birthday and I’d hoped they would do a little something. Ellas is her favorite restaurant so I was a disappointed with that.

    Lobster / Shrimp salad was disappointing. Poor description and heavy mayo made for little flavor of lobster or shrimp and low portion. For $28 I’d expect to taste lobster vs a spicy mayo. I’d also expect the description on the menu to list mayo or an aoili instead of omit it. I shared this with the server and manager who came over but it was dismissed as “we put mayo on everything in America.” Further, I was surprised that our server who was delightful and helpful disappeared after we ordered our meal, forgot my wine, and never returned until the bill came.

    This is our third time here eating. First time amazing and rated great. This time the service, drinks and bar service exceptional. Hover the quality of food for the price has declined. The lobster corn dogs was over breaded. Could barely taste the lobster. The tomato salad was wonderful. The ribeye was under seasoned and not as good in past sitting.

    My only complaint. The reservation was for outside because I wanted to sit outside, but they had no availability due to them over seating the patio. In a world where reservations are essentially required everywhere and the guests plan around that availability a restaurant needs to properly plan for walk ins vs. reservations. This was the only hiccup for the night though. Our server Bryan C was fantastic, he went above and beyond to ensure our time was excellent. Food was great. The prices in my opinion were high. When you charge prices similar to Localis, Kru, Catch LA the food needs to be flawless. It was great, but not that next level tier.

    It had been a while since we visited Ella. We were not disappointed. Menu was fabulous and all the drinks, wine, and dishes we had were superb. All staff was attentive and friendly. Server, George, and Sommelier, Shane, were fabulous. The evening was truly a splendid event beyond the food. Thanks to Ella and our dinner companions.

    LOVELY dinner pre-theater. Valet parking special with theater 🎭 tix. Amazing corn soup and salad. Enjoyed the bread. Wine service also nice. Salmon entree amazing, great short rib and wonderfully charred broccoli rabe. Desserts were beyond incredible. 🥂
