Elevation, a student operated restaurant at Cascade Culinary Institute, uniquely engages community diners as an integral part of the student learning experience. The Elevation menu boasts of high-quality ingredients that are sourced from regional growers, ranchers and producers. Patrons dine in a "live classroom environment" and are provided with an opportunity to offer feedback via a survey at the conclusion of the experience.

Elevation is not open in the summer, as students are completing internship field placements.

This is a wonderful offering by COCC. It is a great value for money. It was quiet on the night we were there, which was fine for a weeknight. The ambience is fairly elegant, despite the casual dress code. Our server was very good and the food was excellent. I thought it was wonderful that our tip went to scholarships. I'm so glad this is available.

Elevation ticked all the boxes for my husband and I for a great dining experience. Reservations at this restaurant run by the culinary program at Central Oregon Community College fill up quickly at the beginning of the spring semester. The prices for a carefully prepared, cooked to perfection creative meal are a great value. Our server, Emilee, was prompt, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.

Elevation is a gift to the Central Oregon community. Let’s start with the most important element: the food was fabulous: delicious, nuanced, well plated, overall spectacular. The ambience was lovely (beautiful, quiet, with excellent, but obtrusive, service). Everything about the experience exceeded expectations.

Eating at elevation is always an excellent experience. The space makes each meal feel special, the food is unique but appeals broadly, and the staff are friendly and professional. I had a delicious pork tenderloin sandwich that really made my day! I also enjoyed a lovely cranberry mocktail, and the pumpkin cake for dessert had fantastic flavor without being too rich or too sweet. I’m looking forward to my next visit.

We always love dining at Elevation. Recognizing that students are "running the show", things may not always be perfect. But, during our last dining experience, the waitstaff was "spot on". Very attentive, but not overly so. A couple of tweaks with the menu, but otherwise a wonderful dining experience. Thank you!

This was my second lunch at Elevation, and it absolutely did not disappoint. So impressed with how much the culinary students have learned. Service, as always, was so impressive. Adrian and the other students took such good care of our table. It’s always a treat to dine here whenever the opportunity presents.

Simply fabulous. Noel was friendly, knowledgeable, yet kept the flow of the meal his focus. Food was delicious. Celery root purée was outstanding. Scallops were carmelized perfectly. Sorbet was a perfectly tart ending.

Our waiter was great. Asked if we had questions and shared a little about himself with us. He brought our drinks and said appetizers would be out shortly. The bread plate was nicely presented and provided a card with the spread/bread pairing. He spaced the food well and we didn’t feel rushed. Everything was delicious. Was a little concerned about ordering the pork chop because it could be dry…best I’ve had in a long time. Large portion and very juicy and flavorful. My husband had the lamb chops and enjoyed his entree as well. And the dessert hit it out of the park…highly recommend the chocolate raspberry bombe!!

This was our first time at Elevation and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience from start to finish. The students are enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and so personable. It’s easy to forget they are just learning the trade. We were taken care of by Sarah and Amelia, with Emily as our primary server. They were all very professional and engaging. We loved hearing about their studies and what they like best about their respective programs. Everyone we encountered welcomed feedback to help them further hone their culinary and hospitality skills. Our food was excellent overall. Both appetizers were good, the Prego no Pao sandwich and shrimp wontons entrees also very tasty as was dessert. The student chefs are clearly trained in presenting food that looks as good as it tastes. On par with many fine dining establishments. Sarah gave us a tour after lunch; a really top-notch facility. Looking forward to having dinner there in a couple weeks. :-)

It is always a pleasant experience to dine at Elevation. We enjoy meeting the students, the atmosphere is peaceful, the food is good and it meal is great value. As we were four diners at a relatively small table, our waiter could have improved our dining experience by clearing unused cutlery and dishes from the table. But, that was a minor inconvenience. All in all the experience was great - we will certainly be returning.

Elevation is such a gem! We had yet another wonderful lunch there. The space is so warm, quiet and inviting, the menu was fantastic and our server was so sweet. It's one of the best values in Bend (maybe in Oregon) so no wonder it's tough to get reservations. Our favorite items on the menu this fall were the pumpkin risotto and the lamb burger. The pear torte (dessert) was outstanding and we also tried the drink special - a Hood River mule (Moscow mule with apples) - which was amazing (and only $3!). The only small mistake was our server forgetting my husband's coffee order with dessert. No big deal, though. It was a terrific experience and I highly recommend it!

As always, Elevation did a great job! You have to keep in mind that the students are in training. Our server had no experience, and it showed. But, that's okay. They're all learning. The food was very, very good. Innovative and tasty. I had a couple of minor critiques about the salad but, overall, it was outstanding!!!

What a treat! Our first time at elevation, and it was so much fun. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and just the right amount of attentive, and the value is great. The local mushroom risotto was the star of our table, and the lemon tart was a perfect finish. Kudos to Elevation for a wonderful meal - we can’t wait to come back!
