Duke's Huntington Beach
We had great service! Marilyn was our server and she was awesome!! Highly recommend the Macadamia Nut Crusted fish and Mud Pie for dessert.
The food was fabulous and the server was extremely friendly!
Duke's is a must if you're in Huntington Beach!! Everything was superb and the perfect place to celebrate my birthday. The scallop special that night was soooooo good and all the entrées our party had were delicious.
Service was great and with a table viewing the beach the atmosphere was great. Our food was excellent ! It is a bit of a drive from our house so we don't get there a lot, but always worth it!
We routinely go to Dukes for celebrations and special dinner dates. The prime rib is always the best we can find and they always take care of the celebration aspects. The night was very crowded so we were seated over by the barefoot bar so got quite noisy. It was an anniversary celebration so we would have preferred to be seated in a different location but this was one of the few times we couldn’t be accommodated. But rest assured we’ll be back soon.
Great food, though the noise level was a bit high, but still well worth the visit!
Wing appetizer was great! Mahi mahi was so good. Do yourself a favor and save room for the hula pie. Best dessert I’ve had!
Service was on point. Great experience and great view of beach/pier!
Outstanding food great service.
Had a wonderful table facing beach, very attentive waiter, loved the crab with macadamia nut won tons. Halibut was cooked to perfection, nice rice and slaw. My birthday, so over the top mudd pie, Dukes gift to me.
Location is great. I get island time, but service was super slow and food was average at best.
Great service, good food but small appetizer and dinner portions. Too pricey for the amount of food you get.
Never dissapointed with food or service just love this restaurant been coming here for years
I brought my wife here to celebrate our anniversary. The food was very good but the service that we received was poor. We had other servers help us because ours never came around. He did acknowledge it was our anniversary and brought us out a free desert.
The food and service were really terrific! I wouldn't call the noise "energetic", it was honestly noisy: we kept having to repeat what we said to each other. But the Lava Flow, our server, the food and the view were unbeatable. Been coming to Huntington Beach for 57 years, this was the first time we ate at Duke's (we celebrated my 65 birthday). Can't believe I used to be down on that beach in a bikini in the '60's! Will definitely eat there again, hopefully sooner than later.
Foods always great, service is always outstanding.
We had a fantastic time and a beautiful backdrop to an absolutely amazing dinner. The food was delicious and the service was spectacular. Definitely coming back here soon!
This restaurant has gone downhill. The food was always amazing, but my fish was very dry! My husband had the specials of the night. Scallops and risotto. He loved his meal. Service was outstanding though. Bummer on the food.
If you are missing Hawaii then this is a great local option. Food was wonderful - both fish dishes we had were excellent. Our server was super busy but very good to us and all other tables he had. We even got a window table like I requested through Open Table. The only problem with this restaurant is the noise - SO LOUD. We had to practically yell across our small table for 2. Theres all hardwood surfaces and nothing to absorb the sound. If we were a large group I don’t think we would have had as good of a time and probably would have lost our voices.
Has not been a go to restaurant but it will be from now. The price is very reasonable for the ambiance and with the quality and taste of the food make it a great deal.
Somewhat snobby attitude by the hostesses. Food was average, prices were OK for the location. Right on the beach so excellent views. Drinks were costly however the location made up for that. Portions were ample. Service was ok. The fish was nothing to write home about. The hummus was good as was the calamari. Suggestion, order the appetizers and skip the main courses.
My family and I ate at Duke's twice on our recent vacay to Huntington Beach. We stayed at The Waterfront, by Hilton, so Duke's was only a short walk away. The waiters fully explained the menu and their knowledge of the fish was excellent. I had the fried opah fish during my first visit and the waiter explained the texture and flavor of the fish perfectly. It was accompanied with Jasmine rice and a bok choy slaw. Both the rice and slaw were excellent compliments to the fish. I had the same dish during my second visit, but I had halibut instead of opah. I also had pineapple upside down cake during my second visit for dessert. It too was delicious and I highly recommend it.
Really nice experience, great service, great food and nice atmosphere! Highly recommended!
Dukes is a restaurant that I would recommend to everyone. The menu has a wide range of meal choices, great appetizers and The staff is so accommodating. This is my favorite restaurant!
Although the waitress was very pleasant, we weren't offered any bread at the beginning and it was hard to hear the specials she was telling us about (we were a table of nine). We kindly asked if she could go to the other side of the table to repeat to my MIL. Other than that the food was good although I noticed mine and my daughter servings were not as generous. My husband loved his meal though. I didn't expect a large serving, but it was smaller than I remember in visits past.
excellent service. loved our server. food was very very good but I liked the old menu more.
Great food and environment that make you feel in Hawaii. And of course, the best view.
Our waiter was super nice and friendly.
I normally love Duke's, hoever this time was really disappointed. My fish was horrible, had texture of a canned Tuna. Appetizer was less then OK. Not sure I will come back.
The place is very crowded and noise level really high, and the fish entree was not good. Kinda dry and cold. I still like Duke's though.
Brunch was yummy! Had a wonder sister Sunday Fun Day!
Best Sunday brunch I have been to in years!!! Food was outstanding and plentiful. Service was prompt and professional. Great job!!!!
Great brunch only reason I did not give it 5 stars is a restaurant of the quality should have more than I stall in the bathroom
As always, an outstanding Venue for grate food, atmosphere, service and beach front location
This place was amazing. The food was delicious and our server was very friendly and attentive. We had a window seat which was incredible with the view alone. I would highly recommend this place for Sunday brunch.
We've been dining at TS restaurants for over 30 years in both the Hawaiian Islands and in California (Tahoe to Del Mar), and you cannot beat their Mai Tais or crusted fish dishes. The views are usually
great, as is their service and general atmosphere. I would pass on the Tristan lobster dish which does
not live up to the reputation that you would expect for Tristan lobster. If you are into Tristan lobster which is considered the top-of-the-line in lobsters, wait until you can go to Maui and dine at Mother's restaurant (the best in all categories) located in north Paia.
Food was Awesome our waitress was awesome and the views were breathtaking at sunset
Excellent service! Our server went above and beyond to make our dining experience exceptional. Beautiful views and good food. The pineapple martini, was very yummy and the scallops with mushrooms, “chef special” was quite tasty.
Great restaurant with great food, views, and service.
Wonderful birthday celebration🎉
Great food, wonderful view, personable waiter.
Definitely will come back!
