   Honestly I was hoping for more. We made reservations for a table of 4 for the dining room. I had folks visiting from out of town and wanted to overlook the cove. They stuck us up at the barefoot bar for no apparent reason. The menu is fairly basic and inflexible of accommodating those with celiac or gluten sensitivities. I got the steaming hot pot as did my colleagues. It was good not great. Everybody wanted dessert, so the Hula Pie was in order. It was mid at best. My buddy really wanted to go to Jake’s, Del Mar but the dinner rez was too early so I pushed for this place. He said he liked the food and the hula pie better at Jake’s. I agreed. Also my other buddy got shat on by a seagull, would’ve been better down in the dining room where we should’ve been. Service was slow and not attentive. They forgot my other friends salad completely. $281 for a party of 4, 3 non drinkers and I had a mai tai. Will not go back or suggest to out of town visitors.

   We have been eating at Duke's for years. The food, drinks, service, and quality are always good. Prices keep hiking but that is the cost of going out to eat these days. We always get the fish tacos or the fish and chips. My husband got the locomoco this time and it didn't disappoint. The calamari is always on point as is the hula pie.

   My daughter came with five friends for her 18th bday and the waiter was so nice to them and the food was delicious!! Five starts

   Great view of the horizon from the dinner terrace. Servic was great and the food was amazing. An overall excellent experience.

   We have eaten at this restaurant many times over the years. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has gone down significantly in the last couple of years, while prices have done up. We paid almost $200 for two people to eat on our steaks were very poor quality. Also, the last three times we were at this restaurant. The staff was unwilling to accommodate special requests. We made well in advance for special occasions, and some of the staff was quite rude to us. We spoke to the manager, who was very nice and assured the issues would be addressed

   I absolutely adore the Duke's La Jolla location! The ambiance was delightful, with breathtaking ocean views that set the perfect backdrop for our celebration. The food was scrumptious; each dish was a flavorful masterpiece that tantalized our taste buds. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. We chose this lovely spot for lunch to celebrate my granddaughter's birthday, and every detail was flawlessly executed. Our server, Maddi, was an absolute gem—her attentiveness and cheerful demeanor added a warm touch to our experience. She ensured our drinks were always full and met our needs with a smile. Additionally, Francesca went above and beyond to help create a magical moment for my granddaughter by making her surprise birthday gift feel extra special. We had a wonderful time filled with laughter and joy from start to finish! 🎉😊

   Duke’s was amazing! The service, the food and the views made dining at this delightful restaurant a must for anyone visiting CA and wanting a memorable experience. Topping it off was the breathtaking sunset we experienced at the end of our scrumptious meal!

   my husband ordered the Huli chicken and it was dry and hard and inedible. I ordered the fish and rice and if was tasteless dry and the rice was dry . I could have made the same meal at home and would have been better. I was disappointed in the food. we ate at dukes in oahu for brunch and food there was amazing . Dukes in la jolla was so disappointing.
