Excellent lunch with a great view and wonderful service from Maddie. The fish tacos were delicious and the watermelon margarita was very refreshing. Will definitely be back next time we are in La Jolla.

Very disappointing. My cocktail had very little alcohol but tasted good. My grandson’s fish and chips was awful. Overcooked , tough fish and maybe 8 fries in the plate. My salad for $18 was minuscule. My husband’s fish was tasteless.

We’ve been here many times. Great vibe and location. I just don’t think their food is great…it’s fine but not overwhelming by any stretch.

I’ve been to a few Duke’s locations (mainly in Hawaii) and the quality at those locations is way better than the La Jolla one. The eggs Benedict and Mac nut crusted fish were sub par at best. The service was mediocre - we could barely hear what our waitress was saying. Would not come back here.

#1 is the staff! Very friendly and paid special attention to some extra needs/requests we had. Great job. #2 is the food. While they did have some traditional dishes, nothing was prepared just average- it was all over the top! And #3 is the view. Couldn’t be better. And we were lucky enough to have the best table in the restaurant (corner outside table). First time at Dukes and certainly will not be the last!
