   Our reservation was for 3 ppl on a Monday at 1:15 PM at Duke's in La Jolla. We were actually able to seat us a few minutes earlier. The hostess was really nice and asked where we were in town from and we had a nice, brief conversation before being seated. From our table we had a great view of the ocean! Our server, Brittany R, was super friendly and very professional. She took great care of us and stopped by our table just the right # of times to see how we were doing. The food was very good. We had the ribs and chicken platter, Kalua Pork Sandwich and the Huli Huli Chicken Plate. All were great! Go to Duke's!!!

   We sat at our table for a good 15 minutes waiting for a server to take our order. There were many servers either actively serving or congregated at the outside server station. When we finally got someone's attention, we were told we had been seated in an area where we had to order our food at the bar. The server who told us we had to order food at the bar kindly helped us out. She took our order and attended to our needs for the remainder of our meal.

   Dukes was very busy for Mothers Day. The food and waitress were great. The bar was super backed up so drinks arrived after our dinner. Overall, great restaurant for special occasions!

   Love this restaraunt! I think i prefer their brunch. The dinner was great but not my absolute favorite in SD. We got coconut shrimp, the rib and chicken plate and the tuna.

   Portions are great, views are stunning, and seating was very comfortable. We made a reservation and the whole service experience was easy and enjoyable. A cool atmosphere with very good seafood and appetizers to share. Our table loved the Korean sticky ribs and the coconut shrimp. Did not have drinks or dessert but the options looked enticing. I personally ordered the banana leaf steamed fish and shrimp and loved the sweet and salty blend of flavors in the sides, and the fish and shrimp was light and so fresh! I was happy with the selection of both healthy dishes and more decadent dishes too.

   Horrible service. Don’t understand why it has so many good reviews. Food was just mid brunch place. Looks like just tourist spot. Pricey for what it is

    The main reason for this low rating was the service. We were seated and did not have a server for 15 minutes. Once he came he seemed overwhelmed. When our dishes were brought out, they were just dropped on the table(hurried). Nothing said. Just seemed like the staff could not handle the crowd and would have preferred us just to leave.
