Dukes has always been my favorite restaurant when I’m in Hawaii!
Crab. Cakes were water logged.
Hawaiian food made with local ingredients with a superior view of the ocean. Recommend appetizers and salads. Calamari was excellent.
Go at sunset.
Great experience, Sonny was our waiter and made the most of our visit - describing multiple dishes and how they were prepared, food was fantastic, 4 different dishes were tried, 2 appetizers, and dessert ! Great location on the beach !
Not good. The setting is beautiful and the wait staff is friendly, but the food and drinks are terrible.
My leaf wrapped fish came with shrimp. The shrimp was most definitely frozen at some point and probably came from a farm in Vietnam (not sustainably harvested). The fish was fresh, but forgettable.
Overall it tasted like and cost more than resort pool pool. I’d find somewhere else to dine if I had the chance to do it again.
Amazing place. Great food. Right on the beach so it has amazing views.
The Rocket salad with fresh “Surfing” goat cheese and beets was very good. However, the evening “special” pink snapper (Opakapaka) and the wahoo (Ono) we’re seriously over-cooked and overpriced!
We had a table on the patio by the ocean and the musicians. Nice. Sam's service was great and friendly. The portions of food were small. But tasty and delicious. Expensive for the portion size
Four of us had a lovely dinner here. All of us enjoyed our meal from the snapper special to the pork shank to other fish dishes. The bread was awesome and we had to control ourselves so that we weren’t full before we got our meals. We also split some hula pies for dessert which was a great finish to our evening. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly and we enjoyed chatting with him. Would definitely recommend this as a moderate priced place to eat.
Wonderful beachfront dining. Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was top notch. Definitely make a reservation!
Great food, great waiter, Dreyson, & on Maui!
Heidi provided wonderful service. Not rushed, made our special occasion extra special.
Food and view was amazing!! All six people in our party loved their food and the sunset views were unreal. Twisted hula pie was also a great treat.
We have eaten at Dukes everytime we have had hoildayed in Maui always good food and a nice ambience.
Astrid our server was fantastic. Meal was the best!
Duke’s was great. Food was excellent. Live music was a nice surprise.
We had the seafood risotto and it was outstanding! We requested an ocean front table and they were able to accommodate us! We had 2 of our teenage granddaughters with us and they loved the food and ambiance
We had the seafood special of the day and the ribs. Both were great. You have to have the Hula Pie, but we were so full. Beth, our server, put it in a take home box so we could eat it back at our condo. Fantastic!
Duke’s is a fun place and the food and service were very good, great oceanfront setting . I would have rated the restaurant much higher had it not been for the table of 20 highly intoxicated conference attendees we were seated near, who proceeded to embarrass themselves ( with out even realizing it) to all of the surrounding diners and wait staff . Otherwise , we still managed to enjoy ourselves once the offending party left.
Food, service, everything about this restaurant are superb. The purple taro rolls are soooooo good.
Outstanding atmosphere and value for food was excellent. We had a great waiter (Chris) who did a fantastic job
Great location. Happy Hour was great for app. And drinks before dinnet
Rude hostess on night before reservation.
Our dinner experience was amazing thanks to Shane! My 8 year old son had secretly requested a birthday cake for his dad and Shane was sweet enough to honour that! We had a late lunch and wasn't feeling too hungry but the food was so delicious we all seemed hungry!!
We were happy that we got our requested seat--- beautiful views of the ocean. Our reservation was at 5 as that was the only one available but we didn't start eating until 30 mins later-- gave us enough time to head to the beach to watch the sunset.
The only thing that we weren't happy about was the hosts outside the restaurant. They were chatting and we had to wait for them to finish before they greeted us. And they didn't seem too happy that we all (group of 7) showed up in the middle of their conversation.
This was our third visit and we are always impressed with the fish selection and preparations.
All in our party just raved about the sumptuous offerings and of course the Hula Pie!!!
We visit Maui 2-3 times a year and Dukes is always on the agenda!
We eat there at least twice each trip! It's a family favorite...great views, food and ambiance.
Hannah made our 40th anniversary special. She was a delight and quite a gem for your restaurant. The selection of fresh local fish was excellent.
We had these reservations over a month ago specially to see Henry Kapono he was the artist this evening. We arrived at 4:20pm even though we had 5:30 reservations. We checked in with the hostess and were told that “Happy Hour” was going on till 5pm and that most of the people sitting in the area of Happy Hour which turns into the dining at 5pm will not get up leave! So they will seat people where ever there is a table available. Now these Happy Hour people did not have reservations etc! We requested to be sited as close to Henry Kapono as possible. Now once we are seated they take us to the last table, end of the dining area! We question this when we were being seated. Then requested to speak to the manager. We were there for the 2 hours, eating our dinner which was served cold! And listen to the music. During this time the manager never came. The hostess that we interfaced with was the one next to the boardwalk. She was very rude not only to us but others as we over heard her talking to them.
Henry Kapono performing was the highlight! Great atmosphere and good food.
I was a little disappointed that I stated we were celebrating a birthday and anniversary in the notes of the open table reservation but it was never acknowledged. We so love the Dukes in Honolulu and wish that the Maui location had a similar salad bar.
Wonderful food and presentation in a beautiful location. We went for dinner and the next day for lunch. Desserts were incredible.
Our favorite restaurant in Maui. The food and service was excellent. The bartender Chad was exceptional. We love going there. I had the pork ribs and my wife had the grilled fish.
You can’t beat Duke’s Beach House for ambiance, and the food and service are always excellent. We had two of the fresh fish choices and loved each of them. Hula pie is always a treat, too.
Great server, awesome atmosphere!
I would not recommend Dukes on Maui. Dukes on Kauai is so much better and the Maui location doesn’t even come close. It was too loud! No salad bar no atmosphere! And too few menu choices. It just doesn’t live up to the Kauai location. Totally disappointed. Our server was attentive and the food ok but nothing special.
Won’t go back unless things change
Awesome! One of our favorite restaurants on Maui!!
Hula pie is the best! Dukes is always great!
Great outdoor dining to watch the evening sunset.
Wind was over the top freezing fish dishes were amazing
