Duke's Beach House Maui
Great food. Awesome service. Will definitely come again
Good was delicious! They didn’t have hula pie which is part of the reason we went, that was disappointing.
Usually a good choice service was slow. Must have been an off night. We frequently go to Dukes and enjoy it.
Great Farther’s day brunch.
Mark, our server from New Zealand, was awesome! Great Father's day breakfast buffet.
Excellent experience. Sunset dinner on the patio. The Chef's specials were properly prepared and the hosts and wait staff were timely and responsive. It is a busy location on the boardwalk so make a reservation.
The food was amazing. We had French toast, pancakes, bacon and fresh fruit and all of us cleared our plates!
Our server Shane was fabulous and very knowledgeable about the menu. Already making plans to come for dinner again this week.
Duke's was onsite for the resort where we stayed. Good bar, good pupus and surprisingly good fish dishes. My three year old grandson loved the mac'n'cheese.
Our go to place whenever we visit Kaanapali. The view is awesome with the palm trees and ocean. Food is always delicious!
Reservation was at 4:45pm, it was a rough time to eat in a restaurant without air conditioning (it was 90 degrees out) and the ceiling fans were moving at a snail's pace. The uncomfort that we endured from the heat and the sun blasting in our faces unfortunately spoiled the dinner enjoyment. It was also my daughter's birthday and I mentioned it at booking, they acknowledged it and the server did not bring out the birthday desert and I had to ask for it which kind of takes the magic out of the birthday surprise.
Amazing food and great service! It's definitely casual and family-friendly vs. upscale and fancy, but the prices are good and amazing value for the quality of food and service! Great for brunch or dinner.
Love alfresco dining by the ocean. We had a meal was delicious.
Servers let down not attentive
He more worried about grabbing all tables the taking care of the ones he had
Example did t fill water glasses and plates not cleared between courses
Food was good but not to die for. Beef rib appetizer highlight
Fish portion small and dry. Shrimp over cooked
Filet good and good value
Ambiance and view great
Finding actual restaurant hard in back of. A condo not much signage
Great location for dinner with the sunset. Can get crowded around 6pm so you should book a reservation in advance for a decent seat. Don’t be surprised to see some kids running around as the adults enjoyed a cocktail and watch the sunset.
Another great meal at Dukes Maui! The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable explaining the detail characteristics of every fish. We try to eat at Dukes at least 2/3 times on each visit to Mauie
We enjoyed our first visit to Duke’s 8 years ago on our second trip to Maui. We really looked forward to going back to Duke’s for the location, ambiance, great food and of course the Hula Pie. Everything was as we remembered except the service was beyond slow. Each phase of our dining experience was extremely slow except getting the bill and getting the credit card receipt back for signature.
Great atmosphere and tasty food. The service was excellent. Went back the next night to have another hula pie for dessert. So good. Will definitely go back.
Came to Dukes for my daughters birthday while we were here in Maui, Aaron was our server, he was great, gave us just the right amount of time without rushing us and gave us great recommendations, enjoyed an appetizer of calamari which was perfect and then our family ordered the Ono special, Mahi Mahi Duke style and pork shank, and it was all great. We were right up against the edge and watched the sunset and then had several desserts- beautiful restaurant. If you are looking for a great beachfront restaurant, then I would say that you can not beat Dukes.
Family dinner at Sunset!! Great location, food and service. Topped off with Hula pie! Highly recommend
All the talk about Dukes I was a little surprised that it was as mediocre as we found it to be. Don’t get me wrong, the atmosphere was great but there a much better restaurants along the Ka’anapali front in regards to the food
Food was excellent, service was great, was a little bit of a walk from our condo since the beach erosion but still worth the walk. Sunset was awesome
Food was excellent for 3 out of 4 of us, waiter was a bit distracted, didn’t give us as much personal attention as I saw him give other diners. Felt a bit impersonal.
Every time we visit Ka'anapali, we are always sure to book a dinner at Duke's. The food is always wonderful, locally influenced and sourced, and the view is unbeatable. Our server Victoria was wonderful, and kindly answered all of our questions. I would definitely recommend Duke's to anyone visiting Maui.
Family of four was $240 with tip. It’s good value for the quality of fish you get. Very similar to Kimo’s in Lahaina. Service was outstanding. We really enjoyed the atmosphere as well. Go at sundown and enjoy a walk on the boardwalk when done eating.
Excellent food and excellent service!
Enjoyable breakfast! Very pleasant waitress!
Since we were only there for Hulu Pie desert the waiter seemed annoyed he had to serve us.
Amazing food! The best filet I think I’ve ever had. Great ocean view, great atmosphere. All around excellent time!
All was wonderful.
The service was REALLY bad. I do not blame the server. Rather he had many tables to take care of. For example, we order drink and after 15 minutes he come back and asks us r we ready to order food. We said, can we get our drinks first?
We’ve been going here for years with fairly decent results. This year it took over an hour to get our meal. When it arrived, even though the waiter verified the order, two of the dishes were wrong. He only offered to fix the one. The calamari is definitely more miss than hit.
The staff seemed putout by simple requests.
I’m not into seafood so the NY Strip was great. It included horse radish mashed potatoes and some vegetables. Great dinner. Enjoyed the live music but was seated a little too close to the stage (a little loud) so you may want to request seating a little further away if you want more conversation.
Food: 6/10 (portions were small and all left hungry).
Service: 3/10 (never got the specials, even though we heard them being given by OUR server at the next table over. Too bad it was after we ordered. Never checked on us - our drinks were left empty for a good portion of the meal. Asked for more bread - saw him with it. He gave to another table).
WAY too expensive considering the above information. So thankful we spent our anniversary dinner here...NOT.
First off, upon recommendation we reserved ocean front for sunset which seats at 5:45, I would not recommend-it was so hot it would be tough to enjoy not only a glass of wine with dinner but also a warm meal when it’s so warm and direct sun. Slightly disappointed when we were trying to enjoy a sunset dinner on our last night. Absolutely not the restaurants fault since we had requested but since we were early and seating was still quite open we asked to be moved, the hostess accommodated but said not a word to us as she was quite apparently annoyed in our request. Our new server was okay, not outgoing or in any way trying to make sure we enjoyed our expensive evening but rather did his job. The best part of the evening (sarcastically) was when an over-served guest next to us decided it was appropriate to interact with our 11 year girls, I brought it to managements attention and was offered some pie. Not the restaurants fault per se but certainly ruined our last night in Maui. Food was good, atmosphere okay, we won’t return. It was our 2nd time there after five years and the fact that we really didn’t recall the first after so many great dining experiences on Maui but friends convinced us it was worth a 2nd try should have been our first inclination we’ve had a better and much more memorable experience elsewhere. Regret wasting our last night experience!
Hula Pie. Get it.
The chefs special (snapper) was ordered by 2 in our party. Both were disappointed as the fish was over cooked and dry. We had a large party of 16 and all others enjoyed their meals. The service was very good. Still my favorite restaurant in Ka’anapali.
It was a great place for a special occasion dinner not for everyday meals.
We always visit Duke’s in Maui every year during our annual trip. Amazing food! Amazing service!
First time at dukes
