Doe's Eat Place
Available in 2 & 2½ pound cuts. Our Signature Steak. Cut from the middle portion of the loin, this steak contains a "T" shaped bone separating the larger strip side from the filet side. The strip & filet may be cooked to different temperatures on the 2½ pound cuts
Available in 2 and 2½ pound cuts. A Baton Rouge favorite, this bone-in cowboy cut ribeye is sure to please. The ribeye can be cooked to any single temperature
Doe’s is always consistent from their service to the temperature of the steaks. The cuts of meat are excellent as well. Our choice for steak in Baton Rouge.
Love Doe’s! Consistency. Great food. Good service. Love the casual atmosphere.
Best steak in town!! Great customer service!
Had a great time. The filet was great. I have allergies and they were very informative about ingredients.
This was one of the best steaks we have had in a long, long time. Expensive, but generally worth it. One meal was enough for two. It was not busy the night we were there so it is hard to rate service or noise level. But I highly recommend it.
Drinks were excellent, steaks were great, service was good.
Fantastic place to eat and hang out
The people are the best
The overall experience was wonderful!! We arrived shortly after opening to avoid the Friday night crowd rush and it was perfect! The thick juicy steaks were outstanding as were the delicious sides. The service was outstanding as we had informed our server that we were on a tight last minute time schedule. She had the meal to the table quickly and we did not feel rushed to eat. Great job Doe's!!! I grew up in Greenville, MS and visiting the original Doe's Eat Place was a frequent occurrence for our family as Mr. Signa and my grandfather were close friends and community businessmen. Mr. Signa would be proud of your restaurant and how you have upheld his legacy of preparing outstanding food and providing excellent service!!
We went to celebrate my husband's birthday! It was perfect! Excellent food Fabulous Service! What more could you want?
Service was good, restaurant was relatively slow. It was a Monday evening. Tamales were good, salad was the worst salad I’ve ever had in a restaurant. We had a porterhouse a ribeye and a fillet. Porterhouse was excellent. Very flavorful cooked to correct temperature. Fillet was very bland and flavorful. Prices for the meal or one of the most expensive meals we’ve had in Baton Rouge. It does not compare to Ruth’s Chris, Fleming’s or the little village
Food and service were xcellent. Steaks as good as any I've had. Wine, cocktails, bar service was super as well. Visiting with chef after meal always dds to the experience...went there to celebrate my dad's 90th birthday - can't wait to celebrate his next there!
Definitely worth the $$. Love everything about the place. Jason was our waiter and made it a fabulous night.
Go early because their steaks are cut fresh daily, so when they run out they are out. Wanted the ribeye but was out of the two pounders. Got, the porterhouse was good, The owner He passed by and smiled and told me don't be ashamed to go to work on the bone. He's really a hard worker made me and my wife feel comfortable. the drop biscuits go great with the honey.
Outstanding food as usual. However the DC politics has caused prices to go through the roof; 2 of us cost $230+ and I only had a diet coke.
Excellent service and amazing food as always!
We love coming here! Food and service is ALWAYS great! Love the steaks and tamales!
I have dined there many times and this was absolutely horrible. We were sat in the bar area and it was TOO LOUD!! There was a table of 12 next to us and drunk/loud. They were also shouting racial slurs multiple times. The manager went over to them a few times and just laughed along with their behavior and never addressed their behavior or antics. The server was excellent to us and continuously apologized for their noise level and behavior. This used to be a must eat place when in town, after this I will probably never go their again or recommend them!!!
Always the place for a fabulous steak! The cocktail and wine selections are also top notch.
Birthday celebration for a 25 year old
Filets were delicious
Will return soon… Hot Tamales were excellent as usual
Manager moved us to a better location so we could watch Auburn vs LSU game.
The best steak in the Baton Rouge area!! Sautéd mushrooms were perfect.
The steak was just ok! Had better for less money..
My wife and I really enjoyed our meal at Doe's Eat Place. We heartily recommend it.
Sat in the bar with a party of 4. Great vibe. Noisy but it was full. Very nice and competent young man served us. Drinks good and beer was cold. Appetizers excellent (spicy tuna / oysters) and steaks were fantastic. Cooked perfectly. Dinner salads were very ordinary; fries just right (thin and crispy). Overall a top shelf experience.
This was my first time at Doe's Eat Place, but it certainly will not be the last! We had a large party, the place accommodated us, our server was great, and the food was outstanding!
Wonderful dining experience!
Was my boyfriends birthday we had a quiet table in the corner. Service was excellent and food amazing!
Tamale and chili appetizer awesome- steaks perfectly cooked- melt in your mouth- French fries among best ever- salad and “drop” biscuits a bit disappointing.
I have been here dozens of times. The steaks are always good, but a bit overpriced. The french fries are amazing.
Service has never been a problem.
This time I was seated in the bar area, which I did not like. I should have been more specific about where I wanted to be seated.
Great place to go for sure!
My Wife and I drive 30 miles to eat in Baton Rouge at Doe's Eat Place.
The owners are very friendly and the steaks are fantastic.
We always ask for Mary as our server and she takes excellent care of us.
The adult mixed drinks are excellent and the variety of wine and beer is wonderful.
The beer my wife had was very cold just like she likes. My Martini was as always excellent with blue cheese stuffed olives.
If you want a relaxing evening with great drinks, service and wonderful steaks go to Doe's.
The food was fantastic and atmosphere was conducive to visiting in our group of 7 (no loud music, etc). The service was great and our lovely waitress checked in on us a couple of times without us feeling like we were rushed to get out of there.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good food with good friends.
Absolutely love this place! The food is awesome and so is the service, our waitress was Awesome I regret that I don't remember her name but she was cool, my wife and I were there for our 30th anniversary and we could not have gone to a better place, the wine list is awesome as well!
Mediocre food, wait staff was overtaxed and couldn’t be very responsive. Lots of people wearing hats and just not worth the price.
The best steak in Baton Rouge. Always. Service is superb.
The waitress was very polite. The food was not worth the prices. The steaks were undercooked severely and had to be sent back twice. The salad and sides were not something we would order again. Heard wonderful reviews on this place and sadly we were disappointed in the food.
The atmosphere was perfect for an excellent date night. Our server, Jade, was a treasure and treated us like family. She recommended the best bottle of red wine that we absolutely loved. We ordered 2 lbs of Ribeye with fries and salads, and am order of Mac & Cheese. Best meal we've had in a long time.
Enjoyed our meal with our family very much. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. We had filet steaks and they were cooked exactly as ordered.
Good dinner, steaks too large for 1 person. Exterior was filthy and concerned about the security of cars I. Read parking lot. Food was delicious
