For several decades this has been my favorite elegant and intimate Italian restaurant. The food, the wine menu, the staff, and the ambience are divine. A family owned restaurant with dedication to the fine art of dining - what else could I ask for? Actually, not a single thing.
Best Italian place in Houston.
It was osso bucco Wednesday the food was great. The appetizer disappointed but the caprese salad and the main dish were excellent. The restaurant was a little warm.
Food was cold sloppy and the waiter was very slow he also forgot my dates drink and didn’t check back after we received or order to ask if everything was alright and tasted good etc.
Let add to that, the owner of the restaurant was having a conversation with a table behind us and he was so loud in his conversation I could barely hear the person across the table from me.
This place was absolutely awfully not very clean and there parking lot is a mess! How come you don’t get asphalt and decent lighting, I felt like my car would be broken into or I would be mugged leaving this place, it has a dirt parking lot that’s all muddy due to rain.
Will not recommend and will
Not return ever.
We had another terrific family meal at DiVino, site of so many special meals over the years! Great to see and catch up with Patrick, and to enjoy his suggested bottle of Nebbiolo with our meal. Jeremiah too great care of us. Thanks very much! The Warners
We ate at Divino on the night of our anniversary, and it was delicious. The staff was extremely professional and the ambiance of the restaurant was perfect. We will definitely be back.
This is one of my favorite restaurants and certainly my favorite Italian restaurants. It is a 5-star experience every.single.time.
We went there with a group of friends, the service was excellent. The food was great and was reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Divino for a group of close friends or a small intimate experience.
My wife and I love Divino and it was terrific as usual!
Always reliable, excellent service, great wines, white tablecloths but not stuffy, comfortable.
Divino is the as good an Italian restaurant in the city. A neighbor hood GEM. Very reasonable wine list.
Excellent service. Wonderful dishes. Thoroughly enjoyed our very first date together in the romantic back room.
Wonderful food and service. Will return - this was first visit
Awesome neighborhood spot! Love that it is open & continues to serve delicious food. Had great wine & appetizers of chicken liver pate
Good salads & fabulous ravioli.
Our favorite restaurant in Houston. Fantastic family owned, quiet intimate place with an incredible ambience
Took my date, had not been there in forever ! Quite lovely, from food to service, great job fellas !
Great restaurant! Service was pretty slow but the food was delicious and the wine list was very reasonably priced.
We ordered the spinach salad and goat cheese ravioli. The dishes are a favorite. We love the atmosphere here.
Perfect but felt really disconnected not eating in the main dining room. Will request next time as it makes a real difference in the overall experience. Food and service could not have been better!
BEST ITALIAN FOOD IN HOUSTON, TEXAS!
Service is exceptional as well!!!
Really good food! Service was great! Wish they served cocktails
Wonderful food and service! We will certainly go again.
Divino has been here for a long time but it has been a great time! From the inception to today the quality has been top notch, the service outstanding and the menu choices exceptional! True dining in at atmosphere of an old world country establishment. Don't miss this one!
Always lovely. Nothing fancy. Always good food and service. Pedro is the best but all the servers are excellent.
Everything was wonderful! The food and wine menu is impeccable ! Thanks to Jeremiah he always provides an outstanding service. I’m definitely coming back soon!
There are many great Italian restaurants in Houston this was one below the top tier I liked this place but did not love it First, no bread offered As an Italian at an Italian restaurant this is necessary Second, the prices seem a bit high for what you get Third the ambiance was dated and needed a face lift Forth the service was ok but not great Our server seemed to have too many tables to tend to
Authentic tomato sauce. Recommend the dumplings and the goat cheese ravioli.
I was very much looking forward to going here with my family for a Christmas dinner as I have been here several times before this. But our service was a little bit slower than usual and less attentive, the food was not up to par, and it seemed expensive for what we got (lasagna pasta and quail all very small portions). My boys had to order dessert to try to keep from leaving hungry. Patrons who arrived after we did were treated with much more attentiveness which was disappointing. I'm not sure if I would return
Great authentic italian restaurant that all enjoyed. Nice but not stuffy. Can hear everyone at your table which is good and we had a big table of 9 on a relatively busy night. Food is excellent as always ranging from the quail to the pasta to the scallops.
The veal dish was not as good as expected. The steak was great though.
The waiter forgot to bring us the fried calamari. A mixed evening overall.
Running late, so we called ahead and they held our reservation for us on a Saturday night. The food and wine were excellent. Starter of grilled shrimp with white and green beans. Entrees of pappardelle with braised short ribs and crab and spinach ravioli were outstanding. You could pass right by this place from the outside and not know how good it is inside.
Date night with my wife. We usually do a steak house, but wanted something different. We had been to Divino Italian before, so that was our destination. We enjoyed a wonderful meal with great service. The wine is not overprices, as it is in many places, so the bottle was an enjoyment. Plan to keep them as a special place to dine.
Dinner was excellent. The wine was very good. The server was attentive and helpful, but not intrusive. The menu was a breath of fresh air. There were several options available I had never tried before (the quail was great!). Unlike many places, the noise level was low, so having a quiet conversation together was nice. I highly recommend it!
Great food Great Service The owner Patrick is fantastic
Great night out! Really good food and excellent service!
Roberto is the best. Ask to be seated at one of his tables
Divino is one our favorite local restaurants. The food is always good, the staff is always welcoming. The wine list is very diverse and has something for just about every taste and budget. Just a nice place where you feel welcome.
What a fantastic little restaurant!!
I had wanted to try this restaurant for years, but kept forgetting about it when selecting a place to eat. (You know how easy it is to go to the same places over and over.) Not noise free, but still quiet enough for a conversation - a big plus! Lovely food, with suitable portions. Reasonably priced wines. Laid-back service, with a long wait between seating and attention (maybe they were short-handed that evening?). Would we return? Definitely.
I was surprised at the quality of food based on the reviews. I ordered their special lamb rissoto for app that was deep fried and the breading overwhelmed the dish. I ended up taking the inside out and leaving. I was surprised that the waiter didn't notice this and ask if it was ok. The caprese was okay and my Mom had a scallop and shrimp pasta dish but was so overwhelmingly pasta and very little seafood. She had about 5 bites. Again waiter didn't comment. Husband was underwhelmed by lamb and his first choice of soup (out of two on offer) wasn't available. We would not go back, to be honest.
