'Es demasiado bueno que uno no puede dejar de comerlo. Los panes horneados al estilo tandoori no son solamente para remojarlos en la salsa, sino que puede comerlos y disfrutarlos tal cual, el naan (pan plano de harina de trigo) con cilantro y sal de roca es formidable y el kulcha (pan con harina maida) está exquisitamente relleno con cordero molido. Masala Art ofrece combinaciones que no se ven a menudo, pero hasta sus platos más familiares pueden resultar una revelación. Como ejemplo están sus samosas, que son más hojaldradas que muchas de las de sus competidores, y cuyo relleno de chícharos, papas y pasas dulces tiene además un sabor más fresco. Ayuda el sentir una explosión de cardamomo en cada mordida. Asimismo, los suaves trozos de cordero molido vibran con el calor de los jalapeños, cuyo golpe se compensa con la menta. La espinaca en puré tiene un color verde vibrante, salpicada con elote y mucho ajo...' (WashingtonPost.com).

Thip Khao is acclaimed chef Seng Luangrath's flagship restaurant in Columbia Heights, Washington, DC. Thip Khao serves up spicy Lao (or Laotian) dishes and classic cocktails with an exotic twist. Lao cuisine leverages tropical herbs and cooking techniques of Southeast Asia. However, the flavor profile is distinct from its fellow SE Asian countries like Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia. Dishes like Naem Khao (Crispy Rice Salad), Sai Oua (lemongrass pork sausage), Laab, and Tam Muk Houng (Lao papaya salad) at Thip Khao showcase the unique flavors of Laos.
