Madeleine
About the restaurant
The Grand Café Fauchon is the promise of a gourmet, sensory experience, a blend of tradition and innovation. A chic, modern living space with a 200m2 terrace overlooking the Eglise de la Madeleine, it offers the very best in French gastronomy, with continuous service from breakfast to dinner, including the unmissable “Glam'Hours”. Chef Baptiste Limouzin is passionate about sublimating the richness of the Maison FAUCHON's emblematic and historic creations, which for him represent an infinite source of creation, with new and explosive associations and combinations of flavors to create emotions. The "à la carte" selection and the FAUCHON lunch menu, which naturally evolve with the seasons, unveil creations that reinforces the Maison's new ambitions towards a cuisine of sharing and conviviality, gourmet and refined, that dares to be different. Three keywords: creativity, generosity and... pleasure!

Notre-Dame
About the restaurant
Located just a stone's throw from the Hôtel de Ville and the Marais district, Le Coupe Gorge restaurant, with its antique parquet flooring, dressed stonework and red velvet banquettes, exudes the flavour of old Paris and the pleasures of fine dining. The restaurant was founded in 1895 on rue de la Coutellerie, a street that owes its name to the many active cutlers. Its current name is more recent, no doubt due to the offbeat humour of one of its previous owners! Far from being a trap, Le Coupe Gorge offers a warm atmosphere, typical of old Parisian establishments, and a friendly welcome.

They definitely lived up to their Bib Gourmand award! Cozy, authentic French atmosphere with top-notch food that doesn’t break your wallet. They accommodated an extra guest in our party by moving us to another table, and letting us order after the kitchen usually closes. Their wine list is extensive and superb! Incredible meal and experience overall.

Unnecessary music playing in background. Fine when busy but irritating when place is quiet. I asked for music to be turned down but it wasn’t. Strange and rude attitude which I had not enjoyed 4 days earlier. Staff issues perhaps.
