   Some dishes were creative and amazing, but some of the sushi rolls were a bit boring. The views were amazing. The service was a bit slow and choppy.

   Loved this restaurant and the total vibe . Rarely does a restaurant hit a triple home run with outstanding city views from the 15th floor of The 9's Hotel, offer eclectically delicious Asian fusion dishes and great service ! Go on a date night . Go to re-kindle your relationship or go with friends for fun. But go. It's a Portland one of a kind .

   Food is either very salty or tasteless l but they are not cheap. The server is nice and the env is comfortable.

   Tasty desserts! Special broiled Asian style whole fish branzino dish was spectacular. Pleasantly surprised to see this as an option and then taste this delicious authentic aromatic dish at a non-Asian restaurant. Good size fish and comes with a whole bowl of rice. At $30, really a great value. Departure wings were super delicious too, but quite a small portion for the charge. Crab noodle dish just looked like ramen with pieces of crab amongst it. Small portion as well. The rice bowls are good values as it comes with a good portion size too. Sadly the halibut was ordered by almost half our table and was overcooked and too firm.

   We sooo enjoyed our dining experience. The vibe is really contemporary and yet relaxed. The food was fabulous. We had the tuna/salmon sushi, the pork belly and the new chicken dish. Just excellent. Food was reasonably priced. Jesse was wonderful and attentive server. Drinks are spendy.. but overall we had a wonderful time.

   Our server Hanna gave us a great experience at Departure. The ambiance fun and felt like you were taking off in a spaceship. The food was delicious. Our server Hanna educated us on what we would like to eat since we are not too adventurous and prefer cooked meat. Definitely save room for dessert. The chocolate chip cookie sandwich was so delicious. Thank you!

   Our experience at Departure was excellent; the food, the waitstaff and the ambience were all top notch. We had family from out of town and they were impressed by the hotel and the view from the restaurant. We would definitely enjoy another meal there. Everything was delicious!!!

   All I can say is wow. Came for an anniversary and food was just as it should be. Crispy salmon, sumptuous duck fat potatoes, fresh sushi!! Our server was lovely and made us feel right at home. I was wearing heels and had a blister from walking, and our server gave me a bandaid. I was extremely grateful lol. Gave us a complimentary toast of champagne. I would so come back here!

    The location is spectacular. Go while the sun is out for the best views. Lots of little plates worked well for our group with diferent dietary preferences. Best was the Yellowtail.
