Deno's is one of our favorite Winter Park restuarants! Always good food.
Most horrible dining experience in years. A table of 8 next to us had us not hearing ourselves think, let alone able to hear our own waiter or talk to each other. The waiter did nothing to quiet the table—they were literally yelling and were drunk. What a waste of $200 and an attempt at a family meal. Never again.
Seated at 7 pm, two six-top tables together. Children were served by one server and we had Patrick, I believe was his name. Not around much, forgot our salads to where another server came out and asked what salads we wanted. Children’s table was served dinner, and another table after we sat down was served dinner. Asked our server again where our meal was and he muttered something under his breath and blamed the kitchen. Honestly take ownership, you didn’t put the order in and don’t blame others.
We usually love the food here but not that night.
Great Service. Waiter was very attentive and helped us select a great bottle of wine. Rigatoni was fantastic. Pizza was great. Everybody in my party really enjoyed the food we ordered. We'll be back for sure.
Booked online, showed up at reservation time and sat right down on a busy Saturday night. Service was a touch slow, but not bad given the full restaurant. Food was spot on and timely.
We didn’t have to wait too long after our reservation time. But there was a group of 50 in the middle of the room. Very loud. The person in the next booth loud laugh didn’t help and the ceilings are low and nothing to absorb the noise. Paid $45 for two glasses of wine and left. Could not hear the waiter. It was miserable! For the prices they asked for the food and the 2% kitchen tip added to the bill. There are many other places to go in winter park.
Just ate a quick bite so might not be as telling about all their food. The Caesar salad was basic with generic tasting cheese. The croutons were from a box. The burger was ok but a bit greasy. The fries were average. Our server was prompt and nice.
The filet was very good and cooked the way we ordered it. The sides were okay, but not very warm. They didn’t have the wine we chose off their wine menu, and the server apologized that we were given the wrong wine menu. The replacement wine menu was completely different and more expensive. It’s an energetic place with a pretty big bar area. Overall, an ok experience.
The host was very nice and re-seated us to the main dining room when we requested it due to a vibrant birthday party next to our original seating. Wait staff was very prompt and efficient as usual and the food was great!
We were there for their happy hour pricing and that was a great deal. The food was so good and such a fun atmosphere.
Dinner celebrating husbands birthday - mushroom toast was delicious. Midwest girl and the blackened filet of steak cooked to perfection. Empress 1908 martini is a must have. Will be back next time in town for skiing.
Excellent food at an excellent establishment. AND... the carry-out containers are recycleable cardboard rather that styrofoam. Awesome!
Server was awful! The older gentleman with some sort of European accent. Ran the bill (one check for all 9 to make things easy on him)with gratuity included. After we handed him 2 credit cards and cash to split the meal in thirds he came back to the table and said it wasn’t correct and reran all the cards without gratuity included hoping he’d get more. I’ve been a server so I understand however he created a huge mess of confusion at our table.
Food was good, noise was obnoxious. Lady at the table next to us was loud and boisterous. Couldn’t have a conversation with my family member across the table.
Ive had good experiences here in previous years. Hopefully this is an isolated incident and the server who acted unprofessionally doesn’t last long.
Great late Valentines Day dinner before spending the weekend at WP
This was our first time to Deno's and we hope to be back soon. Both of our entrees (chicken and bison special), ambiance, and especially the service was spectacular! What a pleasure to dine here.
Great food, ambiance and service. Will definitely go back again.
Our server was great, but the food was mediocre—other than the burrata appetizer, which we really enjoyed. The trout almondine, in particular, was very bland. Also, it was too noisy for my family to be able to have a conversation across the table. Overpriced for what was delivered. Should have stayed in base village and gone to one of our favorites here.
We ordered 3 center cut filets which were all excellent cuts of meat...too bad all three were overcooked so the flavor of the meat was gone.
Never enjoyable to be seated next to the bus station. Food was mediocre, but perhaps on par with much of winter park. Server was well intentioned, but likely over worked. Wine list was impressive, yet inconsistent with the rest of the experience.
Great birthday dinner!
I was told by a local it was the best in town, but I don’t have much to compare being a visitor. Very convenient from the ski slopes. My steak was perfect, staff was on their game. For a very busy night, the drinks and food came out quick and was all tasty.
The filet special topped with blue crab was delicious. One of the best steaks I have had in awhile. The bison pot pie was hearty. Overall good food and priced well. Great job Chef!
A bit pricey but Bll’s service wAs great. Steak was delicious as well as the wings
Need more vegetarian entrees.
We arrived at 5, got a booth in the back. We had the onion soup, I had the fresh trout, my husband had the pot pie-very filling, all delicious. Great waitstaff. Would definitely come back.
We had the best time. Antonio was awesome and we loved the food, drinks and ambiance!
Restaurant has low ceilings and it's very noisy. I had the ahi tuna. The tuna was served cold and had too many added competing toppings.
Very crowded. Make a reservation.
Food and service amazing. Was a bit loud but that due to being crowded. Make reservations! Wonderful dinner!
Good and enjoyable but not fantastic
We always visit Deno’s when in Winter Park. They never disappoint ! Wish they would bring back the shrimp diablo appetizer, macadamia nut crusted halibut and the iceburg wedge salad- sure miss those amazing foods!!
This place has been much better in the past. I hope they were having an off night. The martinis our husbands ordered cake with a lime garish and the soup of the day was not good (toasted red pepper and squash bisque) and we sent it back. The pot pie was undercooked. We love the atmosphere and usually love the cocktails but we will think twice about going back on our next trip to WP.
Great food! Place was noisy. I would go back.
Deno's is simply the best value for upscale food in Winter Park. We've been going for years and they offer a range of dining options (Pub Fare to Upscale Dining). Good drinks menu with a full selection of beers. Great happy hour prices on appetizers, pizza, and drinks. Staff is competent and friendly which is a tough thing to do in a ski town. It's also nice that you see much of the staff year after year.
Had a great time. Romantic dinner at a booth in the back. Winter Park's best!
Best place to eat or drink in Winter Park, CO. Quality of food is off the charts at reasonable prices. Call ahead for reservations and Dino’s can seat large parties.
No attempt to cut down the draft from the front door. Service was very poor. Very noisy. Food not as good as the last time we went.
Service was great...food was just plain awful! The only saving grace was the pizza my son ordered. Stay away from the chicken, steak and Mac n cheese with crab...all subpar.
Every year for the past 15 years my husband and I make a stop to Deno’s! Tonight we brought our 2 boys after a full day out on the mountain. Nothing better than a cozy booth with my family in the mountains! Thank you Deno’s for always being a favorite for our family!!
