Delta King - Pilothouse Restaurant
We enjoyed everything about our evening, from the bar to the restaurant. Really loved the cozy atmosphere and were lucky to get a window seat even though we had said that it wouldn’t even matter where you sat in there. We are considering staying on the boat next time we dined there

Never go there for the second time
Reserved a table for 4, to participate in what has always been a "Sunday Brunch" offering.
I called to confirm my reservation and access to the brunch and received a "good to go" response.
There is no brunch now.
The menus we were provided and food & beverage spilled on them.
Hostess was nice, but clueless and she had only worked there 1 day.
A gentlemen employee stood by and when we reached out to him for some guidance, he stated he had only been employed for 5 days and was unaware there had ever been a brunch.
Restaurant is dirty and there is no assistance when calling.
Last summer we brought friends from Chicago and the service was slow, drinks were poor, staff was borderline rude. We thought we would try again with Sunday Brunch, but had an even worse experience.
This establishment does not deserve to be in existence.
All other restaurants adjoin the Delta King were overflowing with guests...now we know why.
Too bad...because we've been coming to the Delta King off and on for over 12 years and the potential here is massive. However, performance and execution lately, has been horrible.
So maybe the waitress and myself weren’t on the same page,but I got charged for a 3 Course meal and only received 2. We do not like fruit in our salads. We asked if they could make a plain salad. She said she didn’t know if they could do that. I said fine well do we have to get the 3 course meal, if we just want the filet mignon steak ? she said no and you can do that and it comes with a desert. So it was not broke down to me that they were going to still charge me for the 3 course meal. Which they did! We ordered 2 sprites that took her 20 mins to get. We had to keep asking and waiting for everything we needed. I asked for a nice view they stuck us right in the middle of the floor. The food quality was no where near the price tag. Everything was so tight and cramped. Will never go back again. They charged a gratuity for two people. Keep in mind parking was not included in this price tag for Valentine’s Day deal that was 80 a person but her tip which she didn’t even come close to deserving was almost 40 dollars. Never again

The views outside and the decor inside were top notch. The service was friendly and very attentive and the food was excellent quality yet reasonably priced. If I had to be nitpicky, the seating was a little tight. We were closer to the other patrons than I would have preferred, but this, in no way, took away from a great dinning experience! Highly recommend!

My experience was good, the food was terrific and our waitress was really good. I just wish we were able to eat in the dining area instead of the bar and grill
Enjoyed the ambiance decor of the restaurant. It was a very good overall experience.
Service was very good. Jose did a great job, but food was sub par. Had to return the salmon 2x because it was undercooked. So one person in our party did not eat. There was only one table in the restaurant when we arrived. The bartender upstairs was not very personable. He really needs to learn customer service. If we ever come back to Sacramento, we will not be returning.
We received confirmation, but when we arrived at the Pilot House for our 2:30 reservation, we were told that the restaurant was closed. I think the restaurant needs to contact you so that your records can be updated. Very disappointed as this was part of a Christmas present to my mother.

Dumb hostess gave our table away because we went to the restroom.
We arrived 30 minutes early and were sat 20 minutes after our reservation. People walking in were sat first. We were then sat in the bar which is fine. We ordered a prefix menu and drinks. Our drinks sat in the well for 20 minutes until we asked for them. 30 minutes later our salad was brought out. An hour later the server brought our deserts and the bill. They never brought our entrees and we were told the kitchen had closed. I complained and they finally got us some food. We will not be returning.
Looked old, had spider above our table, long time to get food and was not all brought together. Wont go again
Think I'd suggest one of the restaurants in old Town for dinner. Their breakfast was quite good and service was impeccable.
Enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! Don’t be tricked into reserving “bar seating “ as there are no reservations in the bar!
My scallops were not fully cooked, and the dish was removed from the bill.

We were there for the Sacramento Dine Out program (I might not have gotten that name right) and everything was excellent -- the menu choices, the service, and the food. The reason I'm only giving three stars is because of a fairly horrible experience we had with the Delta King's valet parking. When we came to pick up the car, the lone parking attendant was nowhere to be found and it was about 40 degrees with no place for shelter. There was no note telling when he would return, much less information on how to text or phone him. We waited for about ten minutes In near-freezing weather until he finally arrived. The Delta King needs a way to prevent this kind of experience. Everything else about the evening was near perfect and this was a big buzz-kill ruiner.
The food and service was outstanding. It has a nice atmosphere and it is nice that there is a nicer restaurant where you can go in somewhat casual attire. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because a couple in our party wanted to order a fish dish and they were out of it. Then when we went to order wine they were out of our first choice as well so it was a little frustrating. What we ended up ordering as our entrees was great as was the wine.
Great dinner and service. Nice to grab a drink at the bar after dinner. Looking forward to visiting when it is warmer and sitting outside.

The PilotHouse has a unique setting, on the beautiful, historical restored Delta King. Walking up to the boat, you feel as if there should be a jazz band playing and dealers shuffling cards... as if Mel Gibson in “The Maverick” was waiting to depart. I was super excited. That said, when I walked in to the dining area, I was greeted by a friendly Hostess. However, stepping into the restaurant feels awkward. After being sat, I looked around and there was two tables. There is no music or any source to enhance the ambiance of this historical boat. With such a large dining space I get sat right next to the only other table in the dining room. Which is fine, but usually there is music to drown out some of the noise from other tables. Instead the guests at the other table have no manners, chomping and smacking there food with there mouths open. I have to sit there and listen to it. I decide to order wine because online the restaurant boasts its wine spectator award. I try the “red buzz blend.” It is listed at $12 a glass for a bottle that is $9. It had no body and no finish... I would spring for the Box of Franzia instead. The first course comes and it was Thea lamb, harissa meatballs with apricots to garnish. They were tasty, but the food itself came out lukewarm. Next I had the Scallops and risotto. The scallops were PERFECT. Handled with care, tender with terrific coloring. The risotto, however, had some under cooked rice, and a charred lemon garnish. I do not mind the charred lemon, but why stick straight into the risotto? I then have to dig it assuming the purpose is to use the acid to enhance the dish, which was badly needed. Other than the scallops the dish was flat. It was bland, but it was just one note. Then there were bits of “Spanish chorizo” but they tasted like andouille, it was very chewy and over cooked. Honestly, the risotto’s flavor tasted like the Knoll instant Spanish rice. Lastly, the Panna Cotta was good. Understand the whole mint leaf garnish.
We were not seated on time! Took too long for even get a cup of water however our server waa really nice and kind i wish i remember his name but ther than that not going back there again! We are a foodie couple so we have been in a lot a places and better places ,and been sacramento natives we wanted to try this place forever,well what a disappointment! And really if u are gonna be in OPEN TABLE be on top of it! Giving excuses to your costumers on why they cant be seated thats BS! Sorry we are not tourist from different city,state or country ! Or maybe we just look to Mexican! Well we diferent and maybe you need to teach your stuff not to talk about profiling becuase that throws red flags ! Either way we had a good dinner but we’ll never go back again! ✌️

Open Table accepted my reservation for 345, but the restaurant did not honor it nor worked to make it up to me.
They were short staffed. Only two tables of people and very slow, poor service. Food was decent, but overpriced. They forgot our drinks.
Great night, everything was perfect. The food was really good. I had the salmon.
Food was excellent. Very well prepared and presented. Portions were just right. Price was fair for the quality and amounts. Service was very good. Very comfortable environment. A little loud but it was a pleasant, fun loud. Drinks were a little slow coming from the bar.
We have been here several times for happy hour and honestly it is always a great time. This is our second time eating here and it left a lot to be desired. Food was late. When we asked for items they were forgot. The waitress made one of the most offensive comments I have heard. Overall it was a huge let down.
There on a Thursday Night so only 3 other tables in dining area being serviced, the bar upstairs seemed lively and did have a band playing but not loud. Overall was a good experience for out of town visitor.
Had a good time with my kids. They enjoyed.
We celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary at the pilot house and it was perfect! Thank you so much for the great food and service. Will be back soon.
Great food and service. Conversation at surrounding tables was a bit loud, but not much the restaurant could do about that. No special dessert offered for birthday celebration.
The food was great, though the kitchen took a bit too long to bring out the chicken entree (over an hour!)
