   Tucked away but well worth finding. Usual good choice of Davy's quality wines available and food of high standard. very "English" in appearance and ambience. Recommend!

   Such a cool place! Like being in a wine cellar. Food was great and service was just right.

   A very nice welcome despite the fact that we were half an hour early, nice drinks and meal and friendly service.

   Having had a very poor fried fish on my last visit the manager welcomed me by name and provided an entirely complimentary lunch including a glass of beer. Excellent response. Fish and chips was very good as it usually is and impossible to fault response to a poor meaal.

   Fish and chips is usually very good but not on this occasion, the batter was soggy as were the chips, the waitress was uninterested but as I was leaving the manager asked me about lunch, apologised and said he would take care of it next time I was there.

   We chose Davy's for a friends get together as there isn't intrusive music and so we could hear each other! Our waiter was the most efficient we had had for a long time! The food is good and the special fish platter with 3 tasting wines was very good value.
