Amazing service, food and the setting is spectacular! They had live music on Saturday night which was great perfect volume. Highly recommend!
Great!!! Love this spot.
I could not have had a better dining experience amidst a pandemic than at Culina. Their safety protocol was top notch and made me feel safe & comfortable the entire evening. The service is always superb and the food was beyond delicious! Highly, highly, highly recommend coming here for an amazing evening.
This place was amazing! Definitely will return
Great food and service! And for our anniversary they surprised us with a complimentary item. Portions are modest for the entrees we had, but they're superb (chicken cacciatore and the salmon arrostito).
Service was really slow. Took over a hour to get a pizza... table was sticky and when I walked up to table the table wasn’t ready... not the best experience...
excellent place to dine or have breakfast and lunch
Tried the Eggs benedict, French toast with warm syrup, coffee, tea and mimosas. All food and drinks were excellent. Service was very attentive until the last point where we needed our bill and had to go ask for it. But overall, it was fabulous and would return again.
The outdoor seating area was so nice! They've done a great job adapting in the covid environment. All servers had masks and face shields. Hand sanitizer was at the entry and temp check required to be seated. We felt very very safe eating at Culina!
The hidden patio at Culina is a gem. The tuscan cuisine by Chef Luca Moriconi cooking outdoor is an absolutely unique experience. The service is orchestrated by Amir and Collin makes a memorable experience. Don’t miss the music if Talented Fabio Friday and Saturday night.
Had a wonderful waitress service
Doing well under difficult times
Great! Really enjoyed it and the food was fantastic
Nice place for a date- great food and live music
I went there last weekend and the service and ambiance were on point. Looking forward to going back.
Very good! Enjoyed it a lot.
Amazing food & service. The icing on the cake was The live music. Fabio was an awesome addition to the ambience, creating an unforgettable night.
It was my first time there at Culina, I absolutely loved the atmosphere, the service, and of course the food. Our server Brent was kind and patient! I'll definitely be back.
The most Covid safe place I’ve been to so far.
Beautiful place!!! Good food
We had the most exquisite dining experience! The atmosphere, service, food, live music and attention to detail was all perfect. My husband and I spent 3 leisurely hours with each other relishing every moment and every bite. We highly recommend the ravioli with browned butter and sage or the New York strip - you can’t make a wrong choice.
Really enjoyed the service! The food was good but nothing phenomenal
They need to learn to cook bacon. They provided bacon which was over-cooked to the point they developed potent carcinogens on it. Very dangerous. Very poor job.
I made a reservation at Culina. Apparently, Culina no longer exists. The new restaurant on the site is called Vinoteca. This was a complete bait and switch. Opentable should not abet this type of trickery.
I understand your frustration with the patio placement, which is why our OpenTable profile states the Culina patio is only open Fridays and Saturdays. Our intention is not to bait people, we are trying to operate and function during these unprecedented times where we are limited with where we can serve. I hope you decide to join us again on a weekend to experience the Culina patio. Thank you, Cecily Hernandez Culina Restaurant Manager
Went there last minute while I was in the area. Food was overpriced and not good at all.
Culina never disappoints. The atmosphere, service and food create an extraordinary environment.
They are super Covid 19 conscious.
From servers to chef, everyone is awesome. Had prosciutto and burrata as well as octupus apps both were delicious. CA and tartufo salad were great large portions. Pizza was excellent. We finished our night with pappardelle al cinghiale and risotto del sottobosco both being perfectly cooked. Overall a great night on the patio with live music as well
My first time at Culina was an amazing experience for my girlfriend and I. Not every restaurant is on their "A" game during Covid, but this place is. The ambiance was amazing, the guitar player/singer was perfect, and the food and service were Top Notch! We forgot we were in a pandemic during the 3 hours we spent there. Everything was great, from the time the hosts greeted us, to the waiter. They took care of our every need, and we were satisfied from head to toe. This will become a regular spot for us. Thank you for the incredible experience!
The service was impeccable and the server was engaging, gracious and knowledgable even through a mask and a shield. Flawless. The wine, salad and pizza all delicious. The salad was a tad large for two and dressed..so we wasted a great deal. The pizza was delicious-truly authentic and cooked to perfection. The oven makes a difference. The strawberry shortcake was delicious but only had two strawberries. I mentioned to our server that the lack of strawberries seemed odd. Otherwise a perfect meal and a great service experience.
Great service in a clean safe setting.
We were surprised when we arrived with a reservation for Culina but were told the only seating available was on the front side of the hotel. This is unacceptable. Culina expects patrons to call if they have to cancel or change their reservation. They should show the same courtesy. However, the service at the restaurant and the food are very good. The burrata appetizer, which we had with the fresh pita bread, was excellent. We will return, but not until the current crisis has passed.
Keith, I understand your frustration with not being sat in front of the waterfall, but we unfortunately have very limited options given the LA city ordinance limiting dining to outdoors. We also removed many of our tables to ensure everyone is safely distanced, but of course this further limits our dining options, so we utilize our other patio areas. I'm very glad to see the service and food were excellent, I hope you do join us again soon. Cheers, Cecily Hernandez Culina Restaurant Manager
Given that we eat the patio area since the restaurant wa otherwise empty service was extremely slow. It took 35 minutes for entrée to arrive....charging eight dollars for a glass of milk is a bit gouging!
Jack, I'm sorry your dishes did not arrive as quickly as you had expected. We have added many steps to our service and how we prepare the food to create a more safe environment for our guests given the current global pandemic. We have also added a disclaimer to the menu since reopening to help with the expectations. Thank you for your feedback regarding the milk, and I will share it with my colleagues. I hope to welcome you back again soon. Regards, Cecily Hernandez Culina Manager
Very good. Pricy
Had a wonderful time. Great service. Food was amazing. Branzino perfectly cooked! Culinary is always consistent!
Julian, I am so pleased to see you had a great time! And I agree with you about the Branzino! We hope to welcome you back again soon. Cheers, Cecily Hernandez Culina Restaurant Manager
Due to covid place definitely has changed a lot, environment wasn’t the greatest the class of crowd has gone ghetto and staff were all over the place they even forgot to place our order.
I am sorry to see you had a poor experience. Because your comment in anonymous I am unable to look into what happened. If you have the time, would you please reach out to the restaurant or myself so we can discuss your experience in detail? You can reach me at email@example.com m. I will look forward to your response. Thank you, Cecily Hernandez Culina Restaurant Manager
Paul, I am pleased to see your experience was a 5 out of 5! We hope to welcome you back again soon. Cheers, Cecily Hernandez Culina Restaurant Manager
Super safe pleasant and good service
Thank you so much! We are trying everything within our power to ensure the safety of our guests and employees, while still providing an enjoyable experience. We hope to see you again soon. Cheers, Cecily Hernandez Culina Restaurant Manager
BE AWARE BEFORE RESERVING HERE W OPEN TABLE, Culina IS CLOSED during week days but yet still take your reservation and once you are there you are redirected to the outdoor bar called Vinoteca which has nothing close to Culina regarding food, quality of service etc.
I informed the manager once I arrived and realized of the mistake that Open table did but he was unapologetic and did not seem to have interest in fixing the error ... of course they were getting more client for a bait and switch trick.
I was very disappointing as it was a Birthday and I did not wanted bar food for dinner.
The quality of food was so simple and not elaborated at all, with the exception of the dessert.
The same tomato sauce is used as a base for : Kids pasta, Gnocchi etc, even like that it lacked of flavor.
I am very sorry to see you did not enjoy your experience. We inform all reservations booked during the week about patio difference, but unfortunately your same day booking was not caught in time. The Culina patio menu is enhanced with pizzas, but otherwise all dishes come from the same menu and kitchen. I will share you feedback regarding food with our culinary team, and hope you do return soon. Thank you for your understanding during this unprecedented time. Cecily Hernandez Culina Manager
Very elegant, welcoming and warm environment. The New York strip was excellent as was the Super Tuscan that accompanied it. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end, especially considering these difficult times.
Douglas, I am very happy you enjoyed your Anniversary dinner with us. I have shared your comments with the server you had that evening, and we hope to welcome you back again soon. Cheers, Cecily Hernandez Culina Restaurant Manager
We have been to Culina once before and liked it a lot. We decided to go again since they had a patio and we could distance from the other guests. The food was amazing, the service was a bit slow for the circumstances but we assumed they wanted folks to sit and relax, which as fine. We had only on complaint, the single guy at the table kitty corner was lounging and talking very loudly on his cell phone, call after call, after call, after call, after call. It was very annoying. I’m sure he was a guest and his price paid trumped our lunch, even with drinks. We’ll go back and give it another shot still.
I am pleased to see you enjoyed our restaurant so much you returned. Thank you for sharing your feedback, and I will share it with our service team to improve on how we create experiences. I am sorry that the gentleman by you was a nuisance, hopefully he will not be present during your next visit. Cheers, Cecily Hernandez Culina Restaurant Manager
Chose Culina for outdoor seating
Sat next to wedding/shower party, they were loud and obnoxious
Took forever for service to come
Watermelon Maggie’s were bitter and almost zero alcohol. Not cool for 16.00 for a drink
C-18 salad was so overdressed there was a pool for oil in the plate. I had 3 bites and out it aside
Had to ask for bread, 2 pieces of toast arrived cold
Empty glasses etc never cleared from table
Some guy came by and asked about biscotti
Gnocchi was over cooked
Really not up to even moderate standards.
Want to have a nice lunch after being couped up for months
Really, really, sad and disappointing
Mr. Chilcott, I am sincerely sorry for your poor experience, and completely understand you wanting to have a nice meal out after being locked inside for so long. I'd also like to thank you for sharing your feedback, we take this constructively and into consideration as we adjust to new standards and extra steps it takes to ensure we are properly and safely serving our guests. I will be reaching out via email to invite you back, and hope you give us another chance. Regards, Cecily H.
