The brasserie, originally designed by the acclaimed Martin Brudnizki, showcases elegant 1920s Art Deco interiors that include rich wood panelling, brass fixtures and a vintage station clock. The menu is inspired by the warmth and elegance of the grand railway station restaurants of Paris, such as Le Train Bleu at Gare de Lyon and Café de la Paix at Gare Saint-Lazare. Highlights include Escargot de Bourgogne with garlic and parsley butter, French onion soup with Gruyère croutons and Saucisse de Morteau aux lentilles. Great food, every dish had great flavour and well prepared. While the menu is short it is prepared by a single chef to order and there was enough range in what was on offer. Great ambience in a small space which was full on a Thursday night with a great buzz. Nice informality, attentive service and genuinely friendly. Great selection of wine. Easy to rack up a bill but totally worth it for a quick bite or drink or as a meal.
