Opening our doors in 2010 Cafe Aion sought to bring something new to the Historic University Hill Neighborhood. Taking our inspiration from the bistros and restaurants of Spain and France we aim to provide a comfortable ambiance paired with flavorful, comforting dishes made with care. Over the years we have become the go to spot for a leisurely workday lunch, happy-hour celebration, a place to grab a pre-theater dinner or linger with a date. Located across the street from the University of Colorado and its brand-new convention center, near Chautauqua Park and a few blocks from Boulder’s downtown, Café Aion is centrally located with lots of street parking available. Featuring a large patio and cozy fireplace you'll find a welcoming ambiance no matter the season. In addition to Chef Dakota winning the popular cooking show, Cutthroat Kitchen in season 4, Café Aion has been recognized by Esquire Magazine, Bon Appetit and 5280’s Tops 25 Restaurants in Denver.

We shared s meal The salad was huge and fresh. The steak with frites was good but the meat was undercooked the first time it was brought out. It was delicious and the fries and generous salad were good. I didn't appreciate a 20% gratuity being automatically added to the bill. The salad and steak were a little over priced for such casual place. The tapas seemed over priced, too.

Celebrated my husband’s 60th in an Alpenglobe. Had a lovely time and our server Mark made it very special. We enjoyed our meal and would love to come back again someday. Favorite dish was the pulpo and the bread with special house butter. The mocktails were also lovely. Meat was on the rare side, we ordered medium rare but the center was quite rare. (The pass should have checked for this before sending out.) happy we ordered the Iberico ham. Couldn’t see the Flatirons from where we were, but it was still was a lovely experience.
