Our inspiration is the Zeus Faber, one of many local fish that can be fished sustainably and from our shores; although it has a wonderful Latin come Greek name, it also has a very British name - John Dory. Faber is the Latin word for ‘Smith’ and as Smith is the most common name in English, we decided it sits well with our ethos - we want to be accessible to all.Setting us apart from the rest is our commitment to working with local fishmongers who run out to the coast each evening to collect day-boat fish and local ingredients. This was our first time at Splash and Pearl and certainly won't be our last! The food was absolutely lovely with both my halibut and my partner's salmon cooked to perfection. The portions were substantial and the wine list extensive, varied and high calibre. The staff were so friendly and considerate. We really can't fault this and would recommend highly.

Good value seafood, fresh and good portion except lunch sea bass, fish was smaller than I had before. The food was slow at the beginning but then we ordered the second round, they came quick.
