Best Seafood Restaurants in Excelsior Springs

I have been a strong supporter of this Ocean Prime location, dined there over 30 times in 2025 and this visit was exceptional, just as so many visits from the past. Delicious bread basket exceptional excellent shrimp cocktail and superb salmon and whipped potatoes. My server,, Trevor, exceptional server, provided way over 5 star service. I know him from a past restaurant he worked at and knew he was at Ocean Prime but completely suprised I was seated in his section. That completely made the visit exceptional along with the exceptional food. You must ask for Trevor as server, he will provide you with a very memorable experience. Congratulations to GM Jeff Hammond for his success as GM. He has really taken Ocean Prime to another level.

Everything was amazing and our waiter Mr. St. John was outstanding and made the evening special.

Wonderful atmosphere and fantastic service from Emmanuel our waiter (25 years with Pierpont). Sunday Brunch was fabulous, and we followed Emmanuel's suggestions for the best Bloody Mary in KC, then the Steak and Eggs and the Breakfast Burger. Dessert was the White Chocolate Bread Pudding. Coffee was excellent and served in a silver coffee pot. Emmanuel entertained us with the history of both Union Station and the Pierpont itself. Sunday morning at 10 AM is the perfect time to enjoy this restaurant; we were practically the only guests at that time, so we received highly personalized service from ALL the staff. Special shout-out to the receptionist and manager: I forgot to get my parking voucher validated. Returning about 30 minutes after dining, they gladly validated it for me.

Best tasting made from scratch food I have had for some time! Excellent!
