The Phoenix in Whitechapel keeps proving why it’s one of my favourite spots. The whole experience was outstanding from start to finish. Proper good food, great people and a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. I went for the steak sandwich this time, and it was honestly spot‑on. Tender, full of flavour and put together with care. The fish and chips were just as impressive. Crispy, fresh and not greasy at all. You can tell the kitchen actually cares about what they’re serving. The staff here deserve a shout. They’re friendly in a genuine way, quick when you need something and they make the place feel welcoming without hovering. The ambience is warm and comfortable and the quiet setting makes it easy to enjoy your meal without any background chaos. For the quality you get, the value is brilliant. Generous portions, fair prices and an experience that feels worth every penny. Another outstanding visit, easily one of the best pubs in the area.

Very nice restaurant and pub. Menu has a nice variety of options. I selected the 3 small plates: pork belly, scampi, and tater tots. Food was very tasty. I enjoyed my meal with a Bloody Mary and then a glass of Lua Nova wine from Portugal. My server Raheim was very helpful and friendly. I recommend checking out this local establishment.

We had lovely time in Joshua's Tavern. However, we haven't done there, so I can't tell how was a food. The customer service has been on a point. Staff even join to our fun in the end and we had lovely time. Choice of drinks is decent and atmosphere is beautiful for people who admire copper style. I would highly recommend it.

Food was great and this pub was such a nice quiet calm place to catch up with friends, right in the heart of the west end. A hidden gem.
