Best Modern Tuscan Restaurants in Matcham

Italian the way Italians would eat!! Our pasta was deliciously fresh, starchy and sticky the way it should be! Bursting with the simplest flavors that make a big impact. Will be back for a pasta fix again. Entree: We had the Burrata and the Bruschetta. The Burrata was creamy and delicious and the bruschetta was dripping with flavour. Mains: We had the Spaghetti di Mezzanotte - which was only mildly spiced and absolutely delicious and the Fusilli Combo which I didn’t try but my dinner date polished off the bowl and said it was devine. Would recommend a visit if you like authentic Italian pasta.

Right from the moment I walked in the doors my partner and I were greeted with excellent service and led to our table. I had booked this for my partner's birthday and they were kind enough to give her a little birthday card as well as complimentary bubbly. They gave us a perfect amount of time to see what we wanted to get started with, we ended up choosing the GAMBERI CON CAVOLO as well as TRIS DI BRUSCHETTE. These were both absolutely impeccable. the prawns were cooked to perfection with amazing presentation and the taste of the Bruschette was out of this world. We then got Beef Ragu and Con Nduja. The presentation for the mains were quite ordinary but the taste was amazing! For dessert we got the Nutella Infused panna cotta and the Tiramisu. The Tiramisu was not as strong as the ones I've previously had but it still tasted delicious and the panna Cotta was very rich and creamy. The service and ambiance of this place was definitely something to note, all of the waiters/waitresses were more than happy to help at any point in time and always checking up on us to see if we needed anything.

Nice for a post-work catch-up with a friend. Had some wine (great happy hour price) and a variety of little things to nibble on. Olives, brussel sprouts, butter lettuce salad, arancini were all great. I think the salad might have been my favourite (great dressing, nice & fresh) my friend loved the sprouts (& generous portion). Unfortunately the focaccia was a bit disappointing, just a bit dry/tasteless, odd texture? The staff/service was very friendly, helpful and attentive.

Last night we had the Bistecca alla fiorentina at Long Jetty and loved it! The steak was cooked the traditional way, to perfection. The potatoes, garlic bread, vino and salad were the perfect pairing and absolutely delicious. Great cosy ambience with Italian music. We look forward to your vongole and tiramisu next time we visit!
