Excellent value for money, students are very polite and very smartly dressed. A most wonderful lunch not rushed and no hassle.

Visiting Stratford for first time since a year ago when we first tried The Opposition. It was so good then that we had to eat there again this time. It was just as good as we remember. A really excellent bistro.

Superb from a beautifully mixed Negroni to the nibbles sent to accompany pre lunch drinks. Three course £49.50 lunch menu excellent value trout starter sublime. The main was excellent pork served two ways, order the crème brûlée with no need to thank me for its heaven on a plate. The warm olive rolls & crusty sourdough are always welcome with wild garlic & cods roe butters. Some restaurants are let down by service but Simpsons excel unobtrusive friendly but with the correct amount of explanation so that you don’t glaze over in boredom. If you are thinking of booking please do it’s a gem, set in beautiful gardens. Luke Tipping head chef and team are always on top form.
