Best Southwest American Restaurants in New Braunfels

Domingo is a beautiful restaurant just steps from the riverwalk. Its cool ambiance and more intimate lighting attracted us to it. We were pleasantly surprised by the cornbread, with its more umami-forward flavor and bits of corn and chiles woven in to give it more variability in flavor and texture. We were a little underwhelmed with the short rib, as the portion size for the amount of meat was a little on the smaller side. We were happy with the pork shoulder tacos as it was flavorful and tender. We were wow’ed by the quinoa chili bowl, as it was not only beautifully presented, but also packed with complexity. We also ordered some drinks which were well crafted to pair with our meals. Overall, it was a pleasant experience dining at Domingo.

Had a work dinner here and it was great! The setting was upbeat and the food was delicious. The margaritas were also amazing! The team had great things to say about their experience. Thank you for making our team event one to remember.

Really quite good food. Great tortillas. A nice change from Tex Mex

Top quality TexMex as always. Only service quibble: we normally receive a little cup of melted butter with the grilled shrimp. No big deal to me, but my husband enjoys it. Will make a point to ask for it next time if it doesn't appear. Otherwise great as usual.
