Yes the cocktails are expensive but for $10-15 more than you'd pay for a nice cocktail anywhere you get a whole experience for the senses. BarChef never disappoints! Make sure you're clear with the server about what you like and what you want and they will steer you right. My friend wanted something theatrical and got it; I wanted something to my tastes with a multisensory experience and got that. I've never had something I didn't love.

Proof has nice ambiance, a roomy, modern bar with an excellent wine list at varying price points. Not an intimate vibe, but a really comfortable place. In our experience we ordered simple food: a hamburger and gazpacho; each were very good. But the service was outstanding. Very fast delivery from a friendly server. Plus, there was an acoustical guitarist who delivered live, really interesting compositions.
