Best Japanese Restaurants in Paradise Valley

I've been going to Benihana for many years and Eric was the most entertaining and engaging teppanyaki chef I've ever experienced. Most chefs just cook and don't really talk or engage with the customers. With Eric, I felt like I was in a culinary show. Not only was he entertaining, his skills as a chef came through. The food came out perfectly seasoned. When he was setting up, he said he liked seasoning and I knew I was in for some good tasting food. I'm requesting Eric the next time I dine at Benihana.

We had a great server, Madison, who took good care of the 5 of us. The food is always excellent. My only complaint is that shortly after we were seated, a party was seated next to us and one of the women brought in a small dog in a dog stroller. Clearly not a service animal. I was surprised that they allowed this party to bring a dog in the restaurant.

The lunch menu at RA Sushi is a nice deal. We usually select 1 of the bento boxes.

The food is amazing. Creative, flavorful dishes. Beautiful cocktails. Warm atmosphere and great service! It’s a regular go-to for us!

Menu needs to be broadened. Need more Spanish/Tapas options. More protein items. Good Japanese assortments. The desserts were great.
