One of my favorite sushi spots! We went for the chef omakase experience and had chef Shiro Kashiba himself. We were guided through each course and told where each dish came from, and it's amazing to know the local seafood and the ones coming from far away. The team at Sushi Kashiba is wonderful and kind. It is an intimate restaurant and wasn't too loud for how busy it can get. Cannot recommend enough how good this location is. Chef Shiro Kashiba is a gem. The first sushi chef in Seattle and he continues to make history for his kindness, quality, and joy in each meal he makes.

We love all of Chef Sho and Marin’s restaurants! Tsukushinbo was a perennial favorite, and we were devastated when it closed. Kakurenbo has now risen in its place, and it’s got the same warm hospitality, amazing team, great conversation and all-around good vibes, in a space that is several notches fancier than the old spot. It’s a truly stunning renovation, while still being comfortable, welcoming, well priced and most importantly, DELICIOUS. Order the omakase, you can’t go wrong!

You can enjoy beautifully refined traditional Japanese kaiseki cuisine paired with outstanding service. While many restaurants ask about allergies, this one also shows thoughtful care for dietary restrictions. The recommended wines are exquisitely paired to complement each course perfectly. They even adjust the amount of rice in the sushi. With exceptional taste, atmosphere, and hospitality, this restaurant is truly outstanding—it was without a doubt one of the finest dining experiences.

We love Matsu so much! Their ownership and staff are amazing and this is a staple for our group for every Lumen Field event. And of course you can’t beat their sushi and food and drinks in general!
