Best Italian Restaurants in Verona

An amazing, old school spot with new school attention. Food, ambiance, service were all great.

Beautiful restaurant with fabulous food. We had a reservation and were taken upstairs promptly. We were excited at first - thinking the upstairs would overlook the main floor with it's beautiful living green wall - but were a bit sad when the upstairs area where the dinner tables are is walled off. Why???? The bar upstairs has a great view over the side thru a glass wall. Odd design for the upstairs. That aside --- the food is really fantastic and creative. My friend and I shared everything. We got 2 apps from the "dips" section --- a tasty charred babaganoush topped with crispy chickpeas; and roasted pepper pesto with whipped ricotta. Neither comes with bread - which is odd. You have to order their focaccia (or you could eat your dips w/ a spoon!) - which was fresh and SO tasty and a large portion. Still - this adds another $10 to your bill. (Eyebrow raise - paying for BREAD??) We got a "small plate" - duck confit - with perfectly crisped skin and a divine white bean ragout (reminded us of cassoulet a bit) & pancetta. The last dish was our least fave - the mushroom pappardelle. The cheese overwhelmed the dish. A FAB night. We'll most definitely be back.

We enjoyed a Saturday night at Mercurio's when it was crazy busy. The young staff does an amazing job handling a full restaurant. Our server, Lynda was great. We love the Pizza Del Re and the Margharita pizzas. Of course, you have to have gelato for dessert!! Great place for pizza.

Once again, dinner at Pino's is nothing short of fabulous. Cocktails, some new, for the holiday season and winter were really good -- kudos to Pino's bartender and creativity. The entree dishes were cooked to perfection and you can taste the care that Chef Pino and his kitchen staff take to prepare every dish. Lucky us, our table of four was able to speak with Jen for quite a while just after we arrived -- she was very informative about the newer cocktails and some of the newer entrees + wine pairings. Just a great dinner. Again !
