Best Indian Restaurants in Richardson

My parents and I had a great experience dining at Sanjh for dinner. Sushmita, our server, was great at recommending dishes based on our dietary requirements. We had the Dahi puri, Saag Anjeer ke kabab, Tandoori Jhinga, Mattar Methi Makhana Malai, Prawn Mango Curry and Paan Cassata. For drinks my mom had Guava Shikanji, my father and I had Jam e aam & Chaat. The Prawn mango curry and Paan Cassata were special hits with my dad. By the end of the dinner he said this was the best Indian food he had in US.

First experience with Indian dishes and it was fantastic. We shared several dishes and all were phenomenal. There on business with colleagues from India and they were also impressed. The small plates of Orange Zest and Hot & Spicy Guava chicken, the salmon and shrimp plate and the lamb in curry sauce were all excellent, as were the naan and rice options. Highly recommend the food and atmosphere. May be louder in the evening with a full house and the music going, but mid-day was perfect for a business lunch.

Tantara offers decent Indian food with authentic flavors, but the service really needs improvement. While the staff wasn’t rude, we had to wait far too long just to get their attention—whether for ordering, refills, or the check. The food itself was enjoyable, but the slow and inattentive service took away from the experience. With better efficiency and attentiveness, this place could be great.
