Best Hawaiian Restaurants in Hillcrest

I've been going to the Bali Hai since the 1950's as a kid! I've always loved the place. My wife and I go every year for our anniversary and that's 50 years! So yes, it's a great place!!! We will continue to make it our special place. Service is outstanding!

I arrived early by 30 minutes and was confused with the greeting I received. I checked in 15 minutes before and was told to return at the exact time. My party was there first but we were sat after two other parties were allowed in. The prices of the drinks were very costly ($19 for my drink). And the other parties were sat right beside us so it was not very quiet. The food was very good and once we sat inside of the cove, our server was very attentive and kind.

We had a great time coming here for a birthday. We had reservations for when they opened and got a large booth that fit all of us. The bartender was awesome and took our orders right away. All the drink were great and the atmosphere was fun and highly themed. It was our second time here and definitely won't be the last. It did take a long time to get our appetizers, but the bartender comped us a few drinks which was great and I think we stayed over our time a little bit, but she never mentioned it.

Fun interesting food, pleasant room, friendly service.

The special roll of the day -a spicy tuna roll was excellent! The crispy rice was the “ just right “starter and outstanding to wrap up after a few rolls at the table as well!
