- SSkyeMelbourne •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoDining at Vue de Monde was nothing short of magic. Every course pushed the boundaries of culinary excellence — imaginative, masterfully executed, and unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. It was an impeccable experience from start to finish, and easily the best food I’ve ever had. The entire team, from the incredibly knowledgeable sommelier to the super friendly waitstaff and extremely talented chefs, made the night feel personal and unforgettable. Their warmth and professionalism elevated the entire experience. Vue de Monde sets the bar for fine dining — not just in Melbourne, but anywhere in the world. I left inspired, amazed, and already dreaming of my next visit.More infoVue de mondePrice: Very Expensive• Modern Australian• Melbourne CBD•4.9
- OTOpenTable DinerMelbourne •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoThe smell of good wholesome food hit me as soon as I walked into the restaurant. I felt like I was entering a restaurant in Paris. Service was good and we had a good large table for 2. The staff had French accents which really added to the genuine feel of the venue. There was a good selection of wines to choose from and from average price to very expensive. We chose a lovely shiraz that didn't' break the bank. We started off sharing 2 entrees which were the steak tartare and quail. The steak tartare was very good but not the best I have had, still worth trying. Absolutely loved the flavours in the quail and could have had more but it was enough to share for starters. We were given bread and butter to share. For mains we shared the duck which was very generous in size and come with a lovely sauce. Definitely the best duck I have had. We also had pomme frites and a lovely beetroot salad to accompany the duck. Was more than enough but we still had room to try the lemon tarte which was very delicious. If you love french food then this place is worth trying. I would go back. The only thing I felt was missing was some quiet french music in the background. Would have lifted the ambience. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately a party of 4 arrived shortly after we started our meal and they must have thought they were at a pub. Not the restaurant's fault but did put a dent in the ambience. Look forward to going back.More infoParis GoPrice: Expensive• French• Carlton•4.9
- JJustinVIPMelbourne •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoAbsolutely blown away by this hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming — a rare find these days. The food? Simply outstanding. Every dish was packed with flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. It’s not often you find a place where both the food and service are equally exceptional, but this restaurant nails it. I’ll absolutely be returning and will be recommending it to everyone I know. A true hidden gem that deserves to be discovered.More infoNorma FitzroyPrice: Moderate• French• Fitzroy•4.3
