This was our first experience of Victor Garvey since he took over the Midland Grand. The cooking is excellent, with a touch of humour and certainly different to your standard Tasting Menus. I have to give credit to the staff as well, who are all quite young but give the restaurant a more informal feel and quite different many other high end establishments. Well worth trying!

Great cote de boeuf and Sauvignon blanc! Great service too!

For a perfectly relaxing Sunday evening to celebrate the end of the weekend and to prepare for the week ahead, there is no better place than Aix. For us, the best restaurant north of the river: intimate, warm, and preeminent quality. Thank you.

The French wine as ever was wonderful, St Emilon. Andy produced another remarkable coq au vin blanc. The service was of course friendly and efficient from the beautifully sweet Portuguese, Paula.
