À somewhat variable experience. We were given just the à la carte menu when we arrived and had to ask for the prix fixe menu and then made our selections from that. Our starters were excellent. My son and I both had the cheese soufflé with beetroot sorbet which was perfect. The other starter chosen was the tuna tartare which was delicious. It was my main course of sirloin steak which let the whole meal down. I had ordered it à point but it definitely inclined to well done. It was also clearly from the end of the sirloin and was full of sinews which made it difficult to cut. In the end I sent it back to the kitchen. A very grudging apology was given. Both of the crème brûlées were very good. When the bill came, no adjustment was made for my steak. It was also difficult to get the attention of the waiting staff throughout. This could have been an excellent meal but was let down by the service and the restaurant’s reaction to my complaint about my steak.

We had a lovely meal, unfortunately due to the air conditioning not working properly we were unable to fully enjoy our meals as it was so hot. The waiter who served us was incredible professional and gave us all a free glass of prosecco to compensate for the heat in the restaurant which we thought was incredible kind.

Pleasant welcome, calm, cool table on a warm day and excellent service. We had the Prix Fixe Menu and it was really good. The fish was excellent and the almond dessert most enjoyable. Quite some time since I've been to Cote, but it's obviously time to go back.
