Best European Restaurants in Cuddesdon

A very good lunch. One had a very varied and tasty risotto. I had an excellent, well balanced shepherd’s pie with firm carrots snd a minted pea puree. Great treacle tart to follow. One of us had the special dessert— a complicated ice cream with little chunks of diced fruit and coconut. Served in a tall glass. All very well but impenetrably deep frozen. Spoon would have given way first. Waiter returned and wasn’t surprised to find it needed a blast in the microwave. Said most diners asked for the same follow up, raining obvious questions about concept or storage or both! Otherwise a good afternoon…

I ate the risotto which was great, and the chocolate pudding which was good too. I do think that the menu would benefit from a couple more dishes though. The place was lovely. Service was good but a bit slow when we wanted to pay and leave.

This place is an absolute gem. The food is outstanding. Lovely, friendly, attentive staff look after you so well and the wine list is excellent. I cannot praise it enough

Great food and ambience. We went on a quiet day at lunch but the food was great.

Good tasty roast beef but served warm not hot on a cold plate. Ambience of the Crown is bare boards.
