Best Contemporary Mexican Restaurants in Grantville

My husband and I had already visited their location in Hillcrest, and were please to have dinner at their new location in North Park. Our waiter Alex, was very attentive and gave us great recommendations. The only negative are the small tables for two, and the ceviche needed more lime and salt. It's not the ceviche I'm used to. Other than that, it was good.

I was highly impressed by how beautiful the restaurant was especially being that it’s in a shopping center! I must say that so far this is the best location for Javier’s that I’ve seen. I was grateful that my reservation request for a booth with a view was provided by the restaurant, and that even though my guests hadn’t fully arrived yet they were still able to uphold the reservation table. The restaurant was a nice vibe with beautiful decor! The food came out quickly and was to everyone’s liking, Drinks were a hit also. I’d definitely revisit.

Great service, awesome atmosphere wonderful drinks and overall wonderful experience

It was early in the evening, so the place was mostly empty, and there was only one server. The man who seated us was efficient, pleasant, and helpful. The server was pleasant, but lost interest in us and serving us our drinks when she saw friends come in and sit at the bar. Then their order took precedence ( despite our order being placed before they walked in). The drinks were good, and the food was good except it was served missing salsa, or other sauces/toppings, (or the toppings were shriveled up, like whatever that was on top of my quesadilla- I couldn’t tell, but it looked old and unappetizing) which we had to ask for, but finding her to add the missing elements was difficult if not impossible… so the food sat there waiting for the missing garnishes. The food was not even served hot, simply lukewarm, as it is at many restaurants-though we were warned not to touch the “hot plate”—which was warm, not hot… and as we searched for the server to add whatever was missing before starting to eat, the food continued to cool. All in all, an OK, but not outstanding experience. Maybe we will try to come back again and give it another chance, because the menu had multiple vegetarian options, and was interesting.
