Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in Barrio Logan

Barbusa is one of my favorite spots in Little Italy. I’ve been coming here consistently for the past five years and it’s always a great time. Whether it’s date night, dinner with friends, or when I have family in town, it never misses. I went tonight with my partner and a friend visiting from out of town, and we had such a good experience. Armel was our server (again!) and he’s always amazing. Super friendly and on top of it. Highly recommend getting the appetizer board if you’re with a group. The yellowtail crudo is so fresh, the lollipop chops are packed with flavor, and the gnocchi is my personal favorite. Oh and don’t skip the espresso martini. So good. Barbusa is a solid go to that I’ll keep coming back to!

Service and food was amazing! The yellowtail crudo was delicious!

The food was all wonderful and the staff were very attentive. Alfonzo our waiter was wonderful and we all had a great time. The Europeans in our group said it was some of the best pasta they had had outside of Italy. We were there with a large group and there was another large group, so it got a little loud, but I think that was mostly just the number of people. Will absolutely be back, if I lived nearby it would become a favorite.

Gianluca was a great host, he made us feel at home and made great suggestions. We enjoyed our time because of him and we will be returning! Amazing pasta, great atmosphere, and amazing service!
