Although the restaurant is small (I'd recommend making a reservation if it's a popular time), they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The food is the star here, with authentic French preparations with a bit of a twist and generous portion sizes. The Duck Eggs Benedict is my favorite: a bowl of yummy tender duck confit with poached eggs and frise on a hash brown bed, with a lovely lemony Hollandaise sauce. My friend said that the filet-o-fish sandwich was the best fish sandwich she'd ever eaten, and the Beef Bourguignon sandwich is my husband's favorite. The vibe is energetic, and the service exceptional. You can tell that the owners take immense pride in their creation.More infoCafe SauvagePrice: Moderate• French• Back Bay•4.7

- LLoganCharlotte •2 reviews4.0Dined on May 8, 2025Went for a business meeting. Ordered the fried artichoke and three dips (hummus, egg plant, hummus) for appetizers. There seemed to be nothing different between the two hummuses. Artichokes were good but i don’t understand why they put the sauce at the bottom (just put on side or drizzle on top). I got the Cobb salad with a perfectly cooked salmon and my clients got the steak bowls. The entrees combined with the friendly staff gives this page 4/5 stars.More infoCatalyst RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Contemporary French / American• Cambridge•4.7
