Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Glendale

Brutø was a wonderful experience and definitely had some tricks up their sleeves. The highlight of the dinner was the red fish and banana dish or the sourdough bread. The flavors were very in depth and had an assortment of different ingredients that paired well with the dishes. My least favorite part of the evening was either the seating which was uncomfortable or the sunchoke and sweetbread course which was very strong with salt and the roasted sunchoke tasted overpowering to the rest of the dish. Overall, the experience was wonderful and there were lots of delicious courses.

The food was absolutely delicious! I had the burger with a side of the carrots and my husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich. Both were so good. Glad we shared! And our server was so friendly and attentive!

WAY over-priced! For example, we got the 16-oz ribeye for $125 and at least 1/8 of it was gristle?! And the cocktails are $14-18! That’s NYC pricing! On the other hand, we also had the trout and the quail, which were cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Both were excellent. We finished with tart cherry sorbet, nestled in lemon-infused powdered sugar, which was a delicious ending! It was worth a one-time dine, but we wouldn’t go again at this price point.

We had a small group and everyone enjoyed their meal. Appetizers were huge. We ordered 3 for 5 people but 2 would have been enough. Nice ambiance and very good service.

Food was terrific especially the brown butter caramel sauce for dessert! Service was appropriately attentive without making us feel rushed. Overall a great experience would definitely recommend!
