Barbs is Shoreditch's home of Bajan flavour and the UK's first dedicated Barbadian restaurant, on the ground floor of the iconic Queen of Hoxton on Curtain Road. Founded by Nicc Wright and inspired by his Grandma Alder's Bridgetown cooking, every dish runs on real family recipes and authentic green seasoning. Our hero is the Bajan fried chicken burger, marinated and crisp, with soused cucumber, crispy onions and cult Fancy Sauce. Alongside it: fresh fishcakes, curry rotis, wings, fries and macaroni pie, plus cocktails poured over Bajan rum. Under Head Chef Amanda Powell, everything is made from scratch.
