Poppies in Hanbury Street was Pop’s first restaurant and the one where the journey began. The retro-diner and takeaway is close to Pop’s heart as it brought 70year old Pat out of retirement. Great hideaway place that is a bit out of the ordinary and has a bit of a history. Being converted Victorian toilets, it is small and intimate. Great cocktails and nice selection of nibbles and light bites.

Excellent atmosphere, very delicious food, all cocktails we tried were very well presented and made. Alex had a great knowledge about bourbon and with their collection of plus 580 bourbons the venue makes a great choice for any whiskey lover, who also want a nice and cosy please to spend the evening.

Ambience was great, food could have been better (the scrambled eggs were a bit too runny for me) and presentation could have been better as well. A lot of banging of plates and cutlery in the kitchen which was a little loud and distracting.
