The 2023 winner of the James Beard Award for Outstanding Bar, Bar Leather Apron was founded in 2015 by the duo of Justin and Tom Park. Inspired by cocktail bars in Japan, B.L.A. is an intimate cocktail bar tucked away on a mezzanine in the lobby of an office building in Downtown Honolulu. Make no mistake, although minutes from Waikiki, you will not find artificially flavored Mai Tais at this Hawai'i bar... Head Bartender and Co-Owner Justin Park's menu features his 2015 World's Best Mai Tai (which is kiawe wood smoked in a hand carved tiki box), signature Old Fashioned variations, and a healthy menu of whisky highballs, each with a different delicate flavor profile.     Awesome HAPPY HOUR ! Wow… 8 of us spent Happy Hour here and have nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience. We ordered 2 rounds of craft cocktails and ate almost every appetizer and every main entree on the menu, including 2 desserts! Remember to mention the 15% off as this may be something's new and may not automatically be applied to your bill. Recommend the Carbonara, Scallops, Cottage Pie, Pork Buns, Fries (literally THE best I’ve ever had!), Cauliflower, Yuzu Meringue Pie, Chocolate Cake… I already want to go back!

    The food was really good! I liked the haupia, lilikoi , chia seed cup that they had, it was amazing ! I thought the food over all was great. Soda is pricey , it’s can soda they bring to you with a glass. Overall I will be returning , I enjoyed myself.

    Great location and solid vibe. Yours Truly is tucked away in a cool spot with a nice atmosphere that’s perfect for kicking off the night. The space itself is intimate and stylish, definitely fits the speakeasy theme. As for the drinks — they were good, but not exactly earth-shattering. Creative presentation, but the flavors didn’t blow me away compared to other spots around town. Still, worth checking out for the ambiance alone. Solid 4/5 experience!
