Best Burgers Restaurants in Fairfield

We love this place in the summer. The windows and doors are always open, eliminating the intense noise level you fave in the old months with all that shut. The service was good! The food was mediocre. I had a salad with salmon, and my husband had a steak salad. Portions were just enough. My salad, while good, was not a $21 salad. It was lettuce, with dried cranberries and some gorgonzola cheese. There was supposed to be apples on it, but I didn't see any, then an overcooked piece of salmon on top. That's it. Drinks are another topic entirely. I ordered a "holiday special" margarita. The first drink was alcohol laden. Almost too much so. The 2nd tasted entirely different and was heavy on the lime juice. Neither was good, but at $12, I didn't expect a lot. Bottom line - great for a quick bite, a large party, or a young crowd. If you are looking for a date night restaurant and are over the age of 45, skip it and try it for lunch in the summer months.

The food is good. It was cold in the restaurant. Everyone had on their coats out of necessity. Can’t imagine in the full-on winter with that door and seated nearby.

We did their "After Dark" special dinner menu, picking out our steaks, appetizers, etc from their butcher shop portion of the restaurant. It was AMAZING. NYC steakhouse (or even better) steak, sauces and sides. All house-made. It was a fantastic experience and am so glad to have this option close by.

A wonderful experience in all respects. It was lovely to have a quiet delicious meal.

The food at this restaurant is beyond excellent. Wide array of appetizers. Staff were so friendly. Great, hip atmosphere. Seared hanger steak, shrimp and grits, Philly Cheesesteak Eggrolls, Steak Tips…all top notch. We’ve been in Hamden 2 days and ate there twice because it’s so good.
