Best Afternoon Tea Restaurants in Leith Walk

I had the Soup and Sandwich combo of Minestrone & Ploughman sandwich on lovely homemade bread. Both were excellent. Finished up with a Red Velvet Cupcake which was fab.

It was very quiet when we had hour booking, only 3 tables being served, we felt as we were being rushed out the door. We would have had 3 courses and a drink in less than 30 minutes. We asked the waiter/host to give us 10 minutes between courses and he was happy to oblige as we wanted to enjoy the food and chat at the table. The food was lovely, really tasty, well presented and proportion sizes were great.

I had the pleasure of experiencing afternoon tea at The Glasshouse Hotel today, and it was exceptional! The beautifully presented sandwiches, scones, and pastries were delicious, and the service was impeccable. The cozy setting, with its stylish fireplace, made the experience even more special. I can only imagine how incredible it will be in summer when the rooftop terrace opens—I can’t wait to return for another indulgent afternoon in the sunshine! Highly recommend.

We had a very good meal and the service was excellent. It was marvellous to get a proper French meal with escargots, chateaubriand and tarte tatin - an excellent set dinner with a bottle of red Bordeaux wine. The price, however was more elevated than it might have been, but I am perhaps a bit out of date.
