From the minute you walk in and are greeted by the lovely hostess. You are taken to your table and your waiter comes over and asks to take your drink order. I had a wonderful meal. They had my favorite as a special Soft Shell crabs. The soft shell crabs were one of the best I have had at any restaurant. Everything I had was delicious. Save room for dessert. Highly recommend this place More

The service was quite attentive. The meal was delicious. I started with a special appetizer of sautéed Brussels sprouts with bacon. They were simply wonderful. They weren't bitter as some Brussels sprouts can be, and the crumbled bacon added just enough contrast. My husband ordered the mozzarella caprese with peppers, which he enjoyed. The herb-seasoned breadsticks were delicious, but the Italian bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil was only fair. I did like the pieces cheese that were served with the bread. My main dish was the chicken scarpariello—chicken with sausage, mushrooms, and thyme. It, too, was delicious, but the sausage was burnt and tough. My husband ordered off the menu: veal Milanese—thin veal cutlet with tomato sauce. It's his favorite, and he said it was wonderful. Another thing I liked was the main dishes were served with vegetables instead of the ubiquitous pasta. We don't drink, so I can't comment on the wine, and we didn't stay from dessert as I had a homemade birthday cake waiting at home for my husband. One this abhor about restaurants these days is the noise level that causes guests to shout, only adding to the noise. CASTELLO was quiet. Granted we ate early, but the noise level didn't increase as other guests arrived. Thank you CASTELLO for a lovely meal. We will dine again soon! More

The food was delicious! Chef was very accommodating on substituting veggies, food was flavorful and really tasty. Restaurant was a bit noisy on arrival, I'd mentioned that it seemed a bit hard to have conversation and they volunteered to lower the music. I was pleasantly surprised. The hostess was very welcoming and gracious. ON departure, also very nice saying thank you and good bye to us. I am definitely going back! Loved it! More
