Very interesting and tasty; basically an upscale and pricey vegan tapas place. Somewhat ironic that many of the vegan dishes well mimicked meat (crab cakes, stuffed ravioli, oysters, etc)! Quite noisy; music playlist was weird (Traffic, Lynard Skynard, etc) and totally wasted as practically the only thing that could be heard was some base and drums. Would have been better to have had no music at all to lessen the noise.
Exceptional food whether plant based or not. The food was incredible and as it was served small plates style we were able to enjoy several dishes.
Great place. I wish the service was always kind. Server was good but a little sarcastic and not as sweet to our young Canadian guests. Also, we celebrated 2 birthdays and while the table next to us had a birthday and received 2 free desserts we had to pay for ours.
After many visits, this visit was super disappointing. Service was mediocre— food was uninspired.
It was everything and more that I had heard. Couldn’t believe this was vegan food. It was all delicious!
A’Mazing we tried the Impossible Sliders finally and they were impossibly delish! It’s our fav place to eat!
The food was amazing the service was ok but the food made up for it. I just wish the portions were a little bit bigger or slightly less expensive so you can get more things
Dope LA restaurant with a stellar vibe and something to offer every palate.
I had no idea everything was plant-based until my friend told me after dinner. She’s vegan so it’s tough to find good food (not extremely challenging in LA but this place takes the cake).
Really special spot.
All levels of attire from LA-casual to more formal.
Service was off the charts and if you don’t get the sundae, I probably wouldn’t be your friend.
Family-style dining is a tough nut to crack when it comes to portion size, serving, etc. They master it. There’s no odd-numbered food arrangement, we were a party of two and everything individual came with four or six servings. The attention to detail and guest comfort was legit.
If I’m you, I’d order the Incredible Cigars, the pizza is ridiculous. Also have the chicken parm, and this mushroom/potato dish which will blow your mind (can’t remember the kind of mushroom because the truffle was so bomb).
There’s nothing I’d modify in any of the dishes we ordered.
The BEST part? It’s plant-based and heavy on protein/low on saturated fats and processed anything so you leave full but without a major blood-sugar plummet. Slept like a baby, a vegan baby.
We ordered eight menu items and a bottle of wine and we didn’t even spend $200. Total win.
To be a vegan place and pack the house every night is HUGE. I NEVER write reviews but Crossroads is a new fave in LA.
Tip - You should do what my friend did and hold off on sharing with your non-vegan guest that Crossroads is a vegan restaurant. They’ll be mind blown and write a wordy review.
very good food as usual. my friend from NYC was visiting and was so looking forward to her first time here, but our server was very cold, disappeared for some time, and reappeared towards the end when we were done. She must've been on break but didn't let us know, so we were waiting for ages to see her and place additional orders. Another server ended up helping us. I noticed the other server introduced our server to her table as she was going on break. So they clearly are aware, yet pick and choose which customers they tend to thoughtfully.
She must've known she didn't care to serve us, because she overheard our conversation about a retelling of a story of bad service at another restaurant, when she was inspired to be warmer and feign concern for our service experience here, for which she wanted to make it right. By then, my friend was too upset and her experience was already had. It left a really negative taste with us. Perhaps they prefer to cater to celebs and VIPs but everyone is a VIP and we were with a vegan celeb of sorts, but that should never matter. We were made to feel less than and no matter how good the food may be, it really dissuades people from returning.
We love coming here. The wait staff and are always friendly and accommodating. There is always interesting people to conversation with too! The best of all is the food, always flavorful fresh and delish!!
For five years, the top white-tablecloth elegant vegan restaurant in Los Angeles. In fact, the top vegan restaurant period.
Warning- noise level here is intense. Middle of the week, 6pm, music blasting. Asked server if they could turn it down, "No. the owner likes it that way." I responded, "Hmmm. is the owner here?"
Server , "Yes". Then I asked, "Could you point them out to me? Server: "No. They like to remain somewhat anonymous." That's an interesting choice in the service business. They get credit for serving food that is all done fairly well but the atmosphere is NOT pleasant or friendly. Very Low marks for their social skills. They've been there for several years. Perhaps they just don't care.
Service was pretentious snotty and rushed. Our server, tall plain but attractive women never introduced herself, seemed annoyed with everything and “to good to be a waitress”! Otherwise I love this place. But she needs to go, ruins the vibe.
Crossroads is the BEST! It makes me like things I didn't even know I liked.I've tried half the menu and haven't had one bad thing. DELICIOUS!
The food is normally very good but on Sunday it was not. Very bland and definitely not worth it. On a good day it is savory and amazing. Very disappointed.
Love the truffle pasta- my favorite!!!!
Made a reservation for Saturday night for friend’s bday.
Food was so delicious, especially scaloppine Parmesan but service was horrible
Our server was rude from the very beginning but the star of the night was one of the busboys
After appetizers they cleaned a table and took one of the knifes along with dirty plates when the main course arrived we asked a him for a replacement to what he said : “ how many knifes you have why you need another one?!”
I mean, really???
Best vegan food ever!! Scaloppine Parmesan was amazing....must try.
The food tastes good but the price is ridiculous! What makes the pricing even more ridiculous because the owner is also the owner/founder of Kite Hill products which are the same exact products that are served at the restaurant with a 300% markup and for one-third the quantity!
It is a shame that such a famous dining venue would take advantage of people in this way!
The food was amazing. The service and pacing were mediocre. Our first waitress constantly interrupted our conversation and then would leave so quickly that we didn’t have a chance the complete our order. The second waitress appeared without any sort of liaison. She was down right unpleasant. The food came out way too fast. One of our guests asked for a wine menu. The waitress forgot. We asked again, but by the time it arrived, it was too late. We were never offered tea or coffee. I doubt we’ll be back. Great food can’t make up for awful service.
Birthday dinner and the food was incredible.
I've been a customer since they opened. This was the most disappointing meal yet. Tal (had chef) was not present and it showed. Dishes were plated sloppily, and the portions were ridiculously small. The pasta was overcooked, soggy and a child's size portion. Some food flavor and creativity, but for $120, there's 25 other places is rather eat. Then again, I'm not vegan.
We had a very delicious lunch. We shared a burger and fries, meatball sub, potatoes leek soup and fava bean salad. The best vegan food I have had. The burger really tasted like beef.
Good service, pretty decor and knowledgeable server.
Excellent service!! Overall awesome!! They have the dining experience down to a science!
Unique, flavorful cuisine with a bustling ambience that delivers an outstanding experience.
Went to celebrate a birthday, was promised a candle on the dessert, but no candle was provided and no recognition of the special occasion. That was very disappointing. The food, however, was very good.
I love bringing friends from out of town here for Lunch.
My friend and I LOVED the meatless meat! We had the double double with truffle fries and a spinach salad. All delicious! Our sever was delightful, informative and sweet. We loved this place and can’t wait to go back!
Was very disappointed with their service. We sat at our table for 20 mins (no exaggeration) until someone came and greeted us. No water or anything. After asking for water, the server went to take someone else order so my husband got up and found a worker to get us water. For that caliber of restaurant, we expected much more.
We had put in our notes it was our anniversary and wanted to do something special and even talked to host before hand to write a message for my spouse. The waiter was unaware it was our anniversary. Dessert was just a sundae with no writing or candle or anything special. It felt like just another dinner which was disappointing.
Superb!! One of the best places in LA
I love the food and the decor. Have had great servers couple of times but more often, the hosts & the servers don’t seem to have any basic service manner or communication. They don’t seem to care, don’t make eye contact, never once had anyone introduce themselves by name, no smile. Doesn’t seem to matter how often you go, they don’t seem to care, don’t acknowledge or welcome you in and never welcome you back. Too bad with success and popularity seem seems friendliness & service get dropped.
Incredible. Chicken parm tasted real. Kale salad was vegan version of barbuto in nyc which is the best one ive ever had. Can't rave enough about this place!
I brought my family here and it was amazing! I LOVE great vegan food, and having a dairy allergy makes this restaurant a dream come true! Even my 10 year old son who can eat anything said it was the best food ever!! We cane for my husbands birthday and had a wonderful experience!
Food was outstanding. Ricotta toast was amazing. Beet salad was really good. We ordered 7 dishes and loved everything. Fantastic service too. It’s a bit pricey but worth it. It was our first time visiting and we are eager to return.
We had a good start and got our meal quick, but waiter forgot about us. We sat for 45 minutes waiting to order dessert but since the waiter never came back, we decided to chase down the manager to get our check. This also happened to the couple sitting next to us. It ruined the experience and we probably wouldn’t return. It is also quite noisy so I wouldn’t recommend if you want to have much conversation. I would have rated lower, but the food was good so decided on 3 stars.
I noted on our reservation that it was for a birthday. We noted people around us receiving candles and cupcakes. Nothing was done for us.
I also made the reservation days ahead of time and requested a booth. When we got there they told us no booth was available although a few were empty.
A non-dairy creamer would have been better than whatever they put in my coffee.
I left it on the table full but on one inquired about it or offered to take it off of our tab.
The Impossible Burger should be offered at brunch as that is for which you are most known.
I gave the server a hundred dollar bill with seventy cents in change for a bill of $65.70.
She gave me the seventy cents back telling me they don't deal with change?????
I would come back for the Impossible Burger but would not recommend for anything else except the valet who was FANTASTIC.
One of my favorite restaurants and I’ve been several times. However, this particular evening was underwhelming. My server was inattentive and uninterested. Forgot orders and coursed our meal completely wrong. Rushed our experience and failed to communicate efficiently to the server that relieved her when her shift was over. Food was amazing of course and the ambience was perfect!
Love Crossroads. Only complaint was the server didn’t refill iced tea. They may be understaffed? Also really loud.
It is a great high end vegan experience. Personally I am not a fan of the “small plate” culture. The price is the same or near same as a regular size and the food is less.
