hand cut Certified Angus Beef medallions topped with béarnaise sauce, served with house seasoned french fries & grilled asparagus
mixed seaweed, cucumber, carrot, daikon, sesame seeds
Chilean Sea Bass
pan seared hand cut Chilean sea bass on creamy sweet pea risotto, with roasted wild mushrooms, finished with miso butter sauce
Just ok! Beef medallions were overcooked and almost flavorless. My date said her chicken caprese rosa was good.
The rest restaurant was ok the service was slow. We were going to a show and got there two and a half hours before the show we had to ask for our bill and had to continuously asked for stuff. Food choices were slim and portions were small.
Crave is fine for those that don’t dine out much. The food is mediocre and the prices are very high. They serve food that is not memorable whatsoever
Poor service drinks were delivered after food, even though they were ordered immediately when we sat down and food was ordered 15 mins later - truffle fries we’re hospital cafeteria fries… sushi was fine.
Asked to swipe card with waitress standing there and asked if I wanted to add a tip. If I wasn’t with my wife of 8 year and one a first date, I would have been embarrassed to bring someone to this site - certainly the dining area. Maybe the bar is better…
The last time we went, we didn’t have the best service, but the food was so good, we decided to give it another chance, and I am glad we did. Our server asked us right away if we were going to see a show, which we were. He said he’d be sure to get us served and out in time, which he did. Once again, the food was fabulous!
I originally made a reservation for my sister's bday and unfortunately due to unfortunately circumstances I was unable to attend. However, my sister video chatted me while at dinner and she was having the time of her life! She was so happy that I chose Crave, which made me glad I did too. My family has very strict diets due to certain food allergies and this place had food options for them to choose from, so they too were thrilled!
Reliably tasty food in a lively downtown atmosphere
Food, mimosas, and service were all excellent for brunch before seeing a matinee at the Orpheum.
Exceptional service and delicious food
Good was delicious, service was sub par. I realize this may be the new norm with such short staff. But we probably would have ordered more drinks if she had been at the table more frequently. We were seated and given water, but had to ask a runner for a server.
Food was average at best. Below average once you factor cost. Food seemed prepared way in advance and looked like it had been sitting for awhile, especially pasta. Taste was also bland. The best dish of the night was the truffle fries.
Also about half of their beer drafts were gone so selection was very limited.
We had the worst service… very disappointing! Waited 15 minutes for getting a drink order in after being seated and then 15+ to get our payment taken care of after the water dropped off the bill. We had to walk up to the bar to try and find our server…who was not even found. A manager ended up running our tab and apologized but at that point words didn’t mean much… very disappointing! Do better CRAVE…
The food was good, though we are always a little dismayed when another vegetarian item is no longer available. The location makes it the perfect place to eat before seeing a show at the Orpheum or State theatres.
If you like a good burger, the Crave burger is a good choice. If you like French fries, the quality and quantity will not disappoint. The pared down event menu is missing the flatbread with ham and sausage, though, and that was always one of my go to items. Beer choices are limited, and they are always out of my first choice after being told it is available. Service was very good even for a pre-show evening. Our food was delivered quicker than expected.
Crave is a reliably good place for a pre-theater meal. The service is usually very responsive as was the case last evening with our server, Armando. He was prompt in getting our drinks and insured our orders came quickly. The food is always good, though since I dine here often I would like to see some specials and/or some new additions to the menu.
The only complaint relates to the host who wanted to seat us at high top tables which aren’t comfortable for having a meal. It seemed to take her a long time to find an alternative which still wasn’t that great (close to where the servers access the bar). With an early reservation we have always been offered a booth- and it appeared some were available at 5:00 pm. But prices are decent and location is convenient.
We had wonderful food and service - definitely going back.
We stopped in before the theatre and had wonderful service. Two had the poke bowls and they were wonderful.
My daughter and I had the chicken rice soup and it was barely warm and had possibly a chopped chive ? That was dry and tough - possibly not cooked?? Also we shared the crave starter salad and it was lettuce with dressing?!?! No walnuts added . Disappointed- but the waitress was amazing and very timely for our needs!
The shrimp was good. Ceasar Salad and Sushi were subpar.
Service was poor. Our waiter took 13 minutes to come to our table (for the first time) once we were seated. He forgot my lemonade until I received my food (and I had to ask him for it). We felt rushed and shooed out the door. Food was okay but overpriced. Not at all what the menu looks like on google by the way. Everything listed was $7-15 more expensive at the restaurant, in comparison to what was listed online.
Service was great but it was too loud, too dim to read the menus and our food was cold. We were too hungry to make a fuss.
Food was delicious! Service was very friendly and prompt.
My poke bowl was odd and I would say not worth $26. It was a strange creation, and bland. Service was great, the atmosphere was fine and we were going to a concert at State Theatre which is attached! Can’t beat that. And to be fair, my two friends ordered the bison burger - it looked good, and they loved it.
Server was great!!!....sushi and cocktails were great. Main course, medallions and mashed potatoes were terrible. Meat was chewy. potatoes were like cement (must have been made early in the day).
We dined here before a Timberwolves game. This is a very convenient location for a Target Center or theatre event. The service was good, ambiance was good. The noise level was low because there were not many people in the bar or restaurant when we were there. Drinks seemed very light on alcohol. Food was not as good as usual but decent. One shrimp on shrimp tempura roll. Hard finding crabmeat in California roll. We are fairly regular guests of Crave restaurants. This was a letdown from our past visits!
Food was underwhelming considering what I got used to from other CRAVE locations, they had an event night menu yet quality and turnover was slow. Plus a surcharge was on my bill and menu did not indicate a surcharge was to be assessed.
Crave has a tremendous selection of fine foods, wines and beers. It is a large space and very noisy so it may not be the best place for those with difficulty hearing.
Waited 30 minutes for the drink orders.
Crushed clam shells in the last bite of the seafood pasta.
Family night out
Easy location for good meal prior to theater, shows, in downtown Minneapolis.
Nice date night before a concert. Great service from our waiter. Would go back!
